Through flexible seating, my students will have the ability to make a choice on what environment best meets their needs. Research as well as my own personal experience, shows that allowing students to select their own comfortable, flexible seating improves their engagement. Through the use of balance ball chairs and Wobble Chairs, the students will be able to get the movement they need, while also allowing them to stay focused. The carpet will give them additional seating that will allow for those students that have a preference to spread out to produce quality learning. Having multiple choices in seating allows students the opportunity to make proactive decisions that allow them to put first things first in their learning!
