  • The Disappearing Spoon- Stories of the Elements

    Funded Jan 23, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom! The Disappearing Spoon book was such a great resource for my students. We read the book over multiple days together and students created doodles of their thoughts and ideas related to the stories. Then, they created original pieces of artwork that were featured in the school's art show! It was such an amazing and rewarding process for our students. Thank you so much for helping this idea turn into reality. Now that I have this class set, I will be able to introduce this book into future classes of students and help bring the stories of the periodic table alive. Thank you thank you thank you!”

  • Molecular Modeling for Chemistry

    Funded Oct 28, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation of molecular models to my classroom. They came just in time! We have been using them for our unit on Chemical Bonding and it has truly helped the students visualize molecules and see the various bonds in between them. In particular, it was very helpful when they were learning about Lewis Dot Structures and trying to determine whether a molecule has single, double or triple bonds.

I am very excited to use these kits again in the spring when we talk about intermolecular forces! Thank you again.”

  • Scientific Calculators to Help Chemistry Students Learn Science!

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

Thank you so much for this generous donation! It has been super helpful to have this resource in my Chemistry Classroom for students as they navigate energy conversions, scientific notation, and significant figures. Come January, they will be learning about moles and these calculators will be the perfect addition to their learning.

We recently took our final, and every student used these calculators to help them complete their final. I appreciate that these are high quality calculators that are going to be used for years to come.

    Thank you!”

  • Flip Charts Make Group Work Possible

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

This donation has been so integral into my classroom and the learning experience for my students. We are preparing to use the flip charts in the spring for more group projects, but in the meantime the paper has been very helpful as a post a list of all the assignments students should have in their binders. Also, we just created Salt Crystal Trees and most students used the cardboard found on the back of the flip charts for the projects. This came in super helpful and the projects came out great!

I really appreciate this especially as I am returning to the classroom from another position and had given away all my classroom materials to other teachers. With these new materials, I feel like I can be creative in the assignments I give, and student can showcase their artistic abilities to demonstrate their science learning. Thank you again!”

  • Just the Basics, Please!

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

This donation has been so integral into my classroom and the learning experience for my students. I use the paper on a daily basis to create colorful assignments and activities. The students create Diverse Scientist projects and used the paper, crayons, scissors to make posters and dioramas.

I really appreciate this especially as I am returning to the classroom from another position and had given away all my classroom materials to other teachers. • March Madness Bingo-Reading Edition

    Funded May 6, 2020

I know this letter is very delayed, but I wanted to let you know that once we were back in school I was able to carry out this project and get these books and gift cards in the hands of students. It as a very interesting time in education, and having these resources for students was very helpful- it helped create a sense of normalcy in an otherwise difficult time. I found that after distance learning, students struggled with their basic social skills but they found immersing themselves in a good book to be a nice and pleasant experience. Thank you again!”

  • Crafts for Fashion Club

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

My fashion club students persevered this year in the face of challenging circumstances. They held virtual club meetings and really got creative with how to engage their members. When we returned to school this spring, the fashion club students were so excited to receive the crocheting and bead kits as well as the embroidery kits I put together for them with the supplies that you provided. As a few of them were going off to college, they were especially grateful because these kits allowed them to leave school on a high note.

Thank you so much for your generosity on behalf of my students!”

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you so much for the mask making supplies for my students! We were able to start the process of making masks with the fabric, elastic, beads and other materials this spring and my students are looking forward to expanding their project this coming fall with the continued use of masks in our district.

With the materials you have provided, my sewing club will not only be able to provide masks to the student body, but allow students to be creative decorating their masks with fabric markers and vinyl designs. They will love this so much- thank you for your generosity!”

  • Embroidery for Fashion Club

    Funded Dec 9, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donations to our Fashion Club. Even though we have been participating in distance learning, my Fashion Club students have been actively meeting weekly and doing a variety of activities in their meetings.

They have been looking forward to these embroidery kits and now that we are scheduled to return to school- we will finally be able to distribute the materials for students' use.

Even though many of the students will be remaining at home, we will be able to distribute these kits to students for their use and they are incredibly excited to end the year with this project. They are even excited for possibly using these kits for embellishing their clothing.

    Thank you!”
