  • The Disappearing Spoon- a Story of the Elements

    Funded Dec 31, 2024

    Thank you for your generous donation of novels to my classroom. This novel has been so helpful to my students' learning. When reading the Disappearing Spoon, students were able to learn different stories about the discoveries of the elements on the periodic table. In particular, this donation allowed me to get more higher level novels in my classroom library which was perfect to challenge my honors level students.

    With this addition, I now have a good selection of novels so students can be able to take these books home to be able to enjoy. Thank you so much!”

  • Scientific Calculators- What a Great Resource!

    Thank you so much for this generous donation! It has been super helpful to have this resource in my Chemistry Classroom for students as they navigate energy conversions, scientific notation, and significant figures. Come January, they will be learning about moles and these calculators will be the perfect addition to their learning.

    We are about to take our final, and every student will use these calculators to help them complete their final. I appreciate that these are high quality calculators that are going to be used for years to come.

Students travel from all over the city to study dance, visual arts, theater or music in an intense and rigorous program. I incorporate the arts into my Chemistry curriculum to make it interesting, exciting, relevant and real.
