Help Students with Disabilities Write their Own Story!
Funded Dec 30, 2014Thank you so much for your kind donation to my students and school community. When I distributed the stamps and large grip pencils to my colleagues, they were all SO excited to have an adapted resource to use with their students.
When the students received the materials, they were so excited!! They couldn't wait to get their hands on the stamps - everyone wanted a turn! To see students so excited about literacy and spelling is such a joy. Sometimes, our students with disabilities can get frustrated because they are unable to express their knowledge. With these letter stamps and pencils, they will be able to gain confidence and experience success in their early literacy activities.
I know that this resource will help our students to create a solid foundation in literacy, reading, and writing that will be built upon for years to come. Thank you again for your generosity and kindness!!”

Getting Ready to Read... Help Our Libraries!
Funded Nov 21, 2014Thank you so much for donating to my literacy project!! I am so excited to get these books into the hands of such curious young minds. I know these resources will help to engage them in learning new things and exploring concepts they may not otherwise be exposed to.
I can't wait to see the looks on their faces when I bring in new books into their classrooms. Your kindness and generosity will help foster a culture of learning, exploration, and creative thinking. With your donation, you have helped open a new world for our students.”

Funded Dec 12, 2012We have just started using our new Chromebooks in our classroom and LOVE them!!! Each student is so excited to use the computer and is learning so many new things. Just today, I got my first email from a student! I am so excited to see them use technology in such meaningful ways.
Your donation has truly impacted the future of my 12 amazing students. They have been learning how to log into their own personalized accounts, check email, search for things that interest them, and writing emails to communicate with their teachers and peers. These are skills that will be with them throughout their entire life, and hopefully will give them more career options in the future.
Thanks again for your generosity, both myself and my students are astounded at how many new skills they are learning with this increase of technology. You have given them them so much learning power, and for that I am eternally grateful!!”

Help Us Get Organized!
Funded Jun 19, 2009Thank you so much for your generous donation to our class. Without the proper materials, it is impossible for teachers to give our students all of the opportunities they deserve. Unfortunately, there is not enough money in many public school systems' budgets to give teachers and students basic materials.
Your donation has allowed us to purchase a organizational cart for us to organize our materials. It is such a shame when we have nice materials that are constantly in piles or in messes because we do not have the proper tools to organize them. With the purchase of this cart, we can now organize the things we use everyday.
Because we are organized now, each student knows where to find their materials and can get their materials independently. This increases their ability to transition from one subject to another with ease and independence. Thank you for your continued support of public education and special education. Without you, our classroom would not be as spectacular as it is.”

Funded Apr 16, 2009Thank you so much for donating to our classroom. Your donation has allowed us to receive new library furniture and new books. These materials are so important to the overall function of a classroom and have allowed my students to grow in so many ways.
By having an inviting and updated library area, my students constantly ask me if they can go and read books. Everyday, they choose to spend their free time in the library reading books. It is so amazing to hear students explicitly ask and beg if they can go read books.
Because of your generous donation, my students are loving reading. They can explore different topics and learn by reading. They are able to choose what they are interested in and expand their knowledge. Thank you so much for recognizing the profound impact this project has on young learners.”

Funded Nov 30, 2008Thank you SO much for funding my project!!! I am so pleasantly surprised that it got funded so quickly. Every time a project of mine gets funded through DonorsChoose.org, I'm amazed at the generosity of strangers.
These room dividers might not seem like much, but they will help my students so much. They're not fun things like toys or books, but I'll finally be able to run my classroom the way it SHOULD be run. They will help us to do one-to-one work and really give the students a place where they can focus and succeed.
When I asked if the school had any of these or if we could order some, the reply was a resounding no. So thank you so much for helping me get these materials on my own. They will be a great asset to my students and their future successes”

Funded Nov 9, 2008Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity!!! I'm so excited to get these materials for my class and I know the students will be as well. Getting "presents" is something so special for them and makes them feel very important. We will have so much fun with the puzzles and all of the manipulatives that you helped purchase.
Thanks so much for your support in helping me create the best educational experience possible for these children. I am so grateful to you, as a donor, for helping me become a better teacher and the kids become more educated.
Thanks again,

Funded Sep 7, 2008Thank you so so so much! I never expected that this would be totally funded within 2 days! I can't wait to get this stuff... I know the kids are going to love it. The kids are SO active... I took them outside for the first time on Friday and they literally ran around for 45 minutes straight! So hopefully the exercise ball will help them get some of that energy out! I'm so lucky to have such great support, thank you”
