  • To Market To Market...

    Funded Dec 12, 2011

Thank you so much for your generous donations. When we received this enormous Lakeshore box from the office my students let out so many squeals. Every since we have assembled the Market, it is all that my students want to play with. It is definitely the most popular center in my classroom right now.

It is so much fun to hear my preschoolers act out the different characters in a market. The pretend play that is happening is amazing. They are totally immersed with the Market.

Thank you again for bringing such a wonderful experience to my students.”

  • Table for 18 Please!

    Funded Dec 5, 2011

We are overwhelmed with gratitude. When all the boxes arrived with our beautiful brand new furniture, we just couldn't wait to open them up and get everything set up. Our classroom looks absolutely amazing. What a difference! The tables are the perfect height for the students and they love sitting in their new chairs. My assistant and I are also extremely thankful for have an adult chair to sit in throughout the day. Also it is so wonderful to be able to pull small learning groups and be able to look at each student and really be able to reach them instantly.

Thank you again for making this project come true. I really took a shot in the dark. I hoped that it could happen and you made it all possible. My students and I will think of you everytime we walk into our beautiful classroom.”

    Funded Nov 12, 2011

Wow! My gratitude is overflowing. Please accept my heartfelt thanks for all of your generous donations. We really had a serious need for a kitchen center. All the stuff we had was old and falling apart. My students are so happy to have our new kitchen. When the walked into class and saw the beautiful new kitchen, they were all agasp. The kitchen, table, and shopping carts are all hits! My students can't wait until it's their groups turn to go to the kitchen area. I love hearing all the pretend play that is created in this center.”

  • Building Our Imaginations

    Funded May 18, 2011

Thank you for all of your wonderful support. This project has made such an impact on my student's imaginations. They can play with these manipulatives for hours if I let them. My students are so proud of the their creations and little cities that they have created using these materials. They love to put the letter blocks in alphabetical order and spell out their names with the blocks. Not only are they exercising their imaginations, they are also reinforcing their letter knowledge skills. Thank you again for the amazing difference you have made in my classroom. ”

  • Room 24 is Wild About Animals

    Funded Mar 13, 2011

Thank you for all of your support. My students and I are just so thankful for all of your contributions. Our animal unit has started with full force. My students could not wait to dive into the learning games and animal masks. The masks are now the most popular thing to do in the dress-up area. All I hear is the sounds of little animals in that area these days. Next will be our animal art projects and I can't wait to see how creative they will turn out.Thank you again for making my Animal unit an unforgettable learning experience for my students.”

  • Let's Play Dress-Up!

    Funded Mar 11, 2011

I am so overwhelmed with gratitude for all of your support in helping me get this project funded for my class. When I finally received the delivery it was like Christmas morning. My students just went "wild" for all the materials. They couldn't wait to start "playing" with the learning games. They just love the masks. All they want to do now in the dress-up area is put on the masks and act like the animals on their masks. Our art projects will be the next step in our unit and I am so excited to see how creative our little animals will turn out.

Thank you all so much. You have helped me make this unit an unforgettable learning experience for my students!”

My school is in the middle of one of the lowest income areas in the San Fernando Valley. Most come to school wearing the same clothes they had on the day before. The fact that these hard working immigrant parents are trying to give their children the experience of early childhood education is extremely commendable. Most of my parents work three or four jobs to get food on the table. Unfortunately simple family experiences that seem normal for a four year old to have outside of the classroom is not their reality. They don't get to the zoo, museums, or aquariums as much as I would love for them to be able to go. They are sweet kids and soak up any lesson I give them like little sponges. They are enjoying preschool to the fullest and progressing rapidly.
