  • Time For Our Bodies and Classroom To Smell Great

    Funded Nov 4, 2024

I am deeply grateful for your generous donation to help provide wipes, deodorant, mints, and air fresheners for my students. Your thoughtful contribution will make such a positive difference as my students navigate the changes that come with growing up.

These items are not just practical—they support my students' confidence and comfort as they go through a time of physical change. By having access to these products, they can focus on their education without worrying about feeling self-conscious. Your kindness allows me to create a classroom environment where every student feels respected and supported, no matter what challenges they may face.

Thank you once again for your generosity. You are truly making a meaningful impact in my students' lives.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. H.

  • Female Hygiene

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous donation to support my students with essential female hygiene products. Your kindness is truly making a difference in their lives.

By ensuring that these basic needs are met, you are helping my students feel more confident, comfortable, and focused on their education. Many of them may not have access to these items without your support, and your donation helps eliminate one of the barriers that could otherwise distract, hold them back, or have an unpleasant smell.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. H.

  • Snacks To Improve Our Brain Power

    Funded Nov 4, 2024

I want to express my deepest gratitude for your generous donation to provide snacks for my students. Your support is making a world of difference in their lives, both academically and emotionally.

These snacks are not only a vital resource for when my students are hungry and need a quick boost, but they also serve as an incentive for them to stay engaged and motivated. Whether it's rewarding them for doing well on an assignment or helping a peer, these treats encourage positive behavior and a sense of accomplishment.”

  • Minimize Class Distractions

    Funded Mar 23, 2024

Thank you for supporting the students that I teach in being able to have access to noise-cancellation headphones to use when they are in an environment that has more noise than they are comfortable with. We have students that are very sensitive to loud noise and these headphones are helpful. It is important to think about the lifelong impact one person can have on those around them, especially children, and let the kids know that even people who haven't met them are still rooting for them. For that reason, I am grateful for your donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. H.

  • Time to Celebrate

    Funded May 27, 2024

The need for snacks and food other than what the school provides is a problem in many urban schools. There are days that my students are unable and unwilling to eat the breakfast and/or the lunch that the school provides. Most of my students find the food not tasty, especially since my school doesn't have a kitchen. My students were so excited when the boxes arrived and could not wait to unpack all the goodies for our publishing party and end-of-year celebration. Your donation has allowed me to give my students snacks so they will not go through the school day without eating. As well as we were able to have a great celebration.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. H.

  • Time to Smell Great

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

The need for feminine products is needed in my school. My students need a safe place they can come to in order to get the products that are necessary. My students and I are very grateful. I have female students that I have never taught coming to me for the deodorant, sanitary, napkins, wipes, and even panties. Accidents happen especially when you are young and unaware of when your cycle is coming. Your generous donation has allowed me to have a safe space in my classroom and the girls bathroom in our middle school. It has also allowed me to build better relationships and be that trusted adult with female students with whom I never taught.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. H.

  • Snack Time

    Funded Jan 23, 2024

The need for snacks and food other than what the school provides is a problem in many urban schools. There are days that my students are unable and unwilling to eat the breakfast and/or the lunch that the school provides. Most of my students find the food not appetizing, especially since my school doesn't have a kitchen. Having breakfast bars, fruit cups, Gold fish, Popcorns, and rice snacks allows for me to give my students healthy snacks for them to fuel their brain. Your donation has allowed me to give my students snacks so they will not go the school day without eating.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. H.

  • Class Set Of Headphones

    Funded Nov 30, 2023

My students and I are extremely thankful for your generosity. Your donation has allowed my students to have over the head headphones that will not break as soon as they try to put them on their head. I am able to put all the headphones in four separate containers that I keep behind my desk to prevent them from "accidentally" leaving my classroom. The purchase of the headphones and the four containers to keep them in would not have been possible without the extreme generosity of you donating to our classroom.”

  • Ice, Ice, Ice

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

My students have enjoyed the use of the ice machine in our classroom. The water we receive is used in the ice machine to produce the ice. This ice machine is very helpful in our classroom. Instead of leaving the classroom to get water, I am able to give my students a scoop of ice in a cup. As an academic incentive, I was able to make 40 of my students snow cones. I used the ice bags to place the ice made in the freezer until we had 5 pounds made. Before, it was a wet mess when we used our snow cone machine, but now we have all the thick paper towels as well as an ice bucket needed to keep our classroom clean and dry. I am now able to make snow cones whenever without having to go to the store to buy ice.”

  • We Love Reading

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

My students love the novel "Look Both Ways: A Tale Told in Ten Blocks" by Jason Reynolds and Alexander Nabaum. Your donation has allowed my students the ability to annotate in their novels. As well as start their own personal library.

In my classroom, my students are excited to read this novel every day. This book is written by a man who looks like them and grew up in a neighborhood that is similar. My students are able to connect with the characters as many have faced similar situations that are written about in the novel. My students who otherwise do not like reading enjoy this novel and they are having fun while learning standards.”

My students love to read and with each girl having her own novel she will be able to take home the book and read. Reading is a way to escape the chaos and go live inside their imagination and go wild. These books will allow the girls to start their own personal library. No one should ever be denied access to having their own personal library. Each girl having her own novel is something she will be able to keep with her for a lifetime. By donating to our project, you will help to improve and increase student attention and focus and increase their academic achievement.
