  • Give Me a "High 5"

    Funded Oct 21, 2024

Thank you so much for your donation to my project, Give Me a High Five! There are fourteen different learning targets that I purchased that the kids will be learning throughout the school year. I hung up eight of these learning targets around the classroom and the kids were so excited to give each one a try! They can practice the targets after their table task is complete and during center/playtime! I will change each target weekly to keep the learning new and fun!

Without your donation, this project would not be possible! Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rechlitz

  • Important People and US History

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation of materials to help enhance the learning of inspiring figures like President Barack Obama, Sally Ride, Sonia Sotomayer, and Martin Luther King Jr. With these resources, students are now able to explore the lives and achievements of important historical figures who have shaped our world. Your support has made history come alive in our classroom, sparking curiosity and excitement. We are grateful for your kindness and for helping us make learning both meaningful and memorable.”

    With gratitude,

  • Exploring Our Habitats

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you for your generous donation to help fund my project, Exploring Habitats. Your donation helped purchase toys, puzzles, and manipulatives to help students explore various habitats. Your contribution will provide my students with engaging and hands-on tools to dive into learning about the world around them. With these resources, students can interactively learn about different types of habitats, from deserts and rainforests to oceans and woodlands.

Thank you again for your kindness and support. Our students are so fortunate to have supporters like you!”

  • Classic Tales

    Funded May 13, 2024

I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am for your donations. Without your support, having these extra things in the classroom would not be possible. So far this year we have completed two classic tales: Country Mouse and City Mouse and The Three Little Pigs. The kids loved having matching pig shirts and headbands and many students wanted to play the wolf part cause they thought the shirt looked cool! The kids loved the fancy house and enjoyed acting out the story with the mice characters!

Again, thank you so much for your support! It is appreciated more than you know!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rechlitz

  • Creativity Time!

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

Thank you so much for contributing to my "Creativity Time" project. My students were so excited to get some new art supplies. We are currently learning about habitats and the kids were really excited to use the animal stencils and stamps to create habitats that they have previously learned about. The kids loved the smelly markers to decorate their pictures.

It is so important for kids to explore with art materials to advance their creativity and imagination. Arts and crafts offer children a chance to learn and grow in a fun way!

Your donation made this project come to life! Thank You!”

  • Making Music

    Funded Jan 12, 2024

Thank you so much for contributing to my "Making Music" project. My students were so excited to get some new instruments for music time and use them for our literacy block. Incorporating musical instruments into different types of play, such as bells, maracas, and shakers, can help children build their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

We have used these instruments frequently during our literacy block to practice counting syllables in words and for oral blending with three-sound words

(example: /h/ /a/ /t/=hat). We have also used the instruments to practice positional words (example: in front, behind, and next to). The kids like to dance and play their instruments while watching fun songs on YouTube. This skill focuses on listening and following directions.

These classroom activities were only made possible by your donation! Thank you for making this project come to life!”

  • Amazon Deliveries Heavy Lifting Opportunities

    Funded Aug 22, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to our heavy-lifting "Amazon" center. Many students need movement or sensory breaks throughout the day for self-regulation. This area allows children to choose what type of heavy lifting they want to do. The children can choose from lifting jugs filled with sand or liquids, carrying weighted balls, pushing a cart with pavers, putting packages in a crate on wheels and then pulling it, or pushing a heavy box.

Your donation to my project is greatly appreciated more than you know. So many of my students and other students around the building are benefiting from your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rechlitz

  • Rocket Reset-Calming Corner

    Funded Aug 16, 2023

Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom project. My students just absolutely love our Rocket Reset calming area in our classroom. Students use this area in the classroom to help regulate their feelings and emotions. Students can choose from a variety of items such as puzzles, fidgets, stuffed animals, building manipulatives, quiet music, calming bubbles, books, and more. Thanks to all the donations, I was able to get more fun items for this area. The kids don't have access to all the materials at once, so they are super excited when I change over the area with all new items. Again, thank you so much for your generosity and donation to complete my project.”

    With gratitude,

  • "Light Up" With Imagination and Play

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

We love our new light table and all the new accessories and manipulatives that came with the project. We can't thank you enough for your donation! The new light table will provide my students with endless hours of building, creating, and exploring.

This funded project will provide my students with opportunities to build with legos and blocks, play dominos, count, pattern, sort, build letters and words, learn to build their name and other words, create pictures using tangrams, trace pictures, and many more fun activities.

Your generosity and donation are greatly appreciated! We look forward to lots of learning ahead!!”

  • Dramatic Play Area Makeover

    Funded Aug 10, 2022

I am so appreciative of your donation which has helped me to change over the dramatic play area every couple of weeks. I have incorporated some new themes which the kids have really loved! I even had to buy a timer because all the kids wanted a turn immediately.

There are so many benefits to dramatic/pretend play for young children. Children learn creative problem-solving skills alongside their peers, conflict resolution sharing, turn-taking, role-playing, acting out their feelings, and making choices.

Your donation is more than just materials. You're giving kids the opportunity to learn lifelong skills. Your donation and generosity are greatly appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rechlitz

Imaginative play is a very important part of social development in young children. The kitchen center is a very popular center where students can create parties, restaurants, or put together fun meals for their friends. Currently, our kitchen furniture is old and is falling apart. Our classroom friends need furniture that is safe and durable. Students will engage in problem solving and social interactions as they work together to figure out how to run a restaurant or have a party. Engaging in pretend play helps my students develop critical language, social development and cognitive skills in a fun way while playing in the kitchen. My students love the kitchen center and would have so much fun with all the different food kits!
