• Making Learning Mobile

I am so excited to open the Media Center back up after the pandemic. Many students will be experiencing lessons in the Media Center for the first time.   Funded Nov 30, 2021

  Thank you so much for your generous donations! My students are so happy to have the Bluetooth mice to use with their school iPads. This project gives each student their own Bluetooth mouse to use with their iPad. Before having access to the mice, the students would become frustrated with only touch control. Being able to use the mouse relieves these frustrations because students can use the mouse to being to select and change the text as they are working. This is important because we need to develop academic skills and technology skills.

• Digital Tools for Digital Learners

  Thank you for your continued support of my classroom and students. As a result of your donation, my students each have access to a one to one device to limit sharing in the classroom. In addition, the Logitech Crayon and Logitech Keyboard case allows for a dynamic device to help students access their digital tools and create diverse learning experiences. Using the Apple iPad with the keyboard and Crayon, students are able to type, record, draw digitally, and so much more. My goal has been to create a one to one device classroom to be able to create equal access for all students. Thanks to your donation, this is the environment my students experience daily.”

• Connecting Curriculum With Digital Tools

  Thank you for your continued support of my students. The past two years caused many challenges for my students. Through it all, they continue to do their best to be successful. With this project, my students have an additional Apple iPad, Logitech keyboard case, and Logitech Crayon to use the different digital tools we use on a daily basis. Each student is able to have their own device to use at school which helps continue to promote one to one device limiting the sharing of devices. My students are able to access digital textbooks, create digital writing, and access our digital learning management system that contains all of their digital work. Students are able to create multimedia projects, record video discussions, and collaborate with each other, other students, and even members of the community. Thank you for making this possible!”

• Taking It to the Next Level

  Thank you again for your generous donations. With your help, our dream of equal access is so close to being accomplished. Students are able to use their assigned Apple iPad to type their writing and projects. The limitations of the digital keyboard have been eliminated by using the Logitech keyboard cases. Students are able to interact with the text using keyboard shortcuts. In addition, the Logitech Crayons allow students to draw and write on the iPads to create creative and detailed artwork. These tools are used each and every day! Thank you again!”

• Keyboard Cases and More

  Thank you again for your continued support to ensure my students are successful even as learning conditions have continued to change throughout this school year. With your donation, students are able to have their own keyboard and trackpad case for their classroom iPad. This has allowed flexibility in how students interact with their digital tools and platforms. Having their own keyboard facilitates being able to type their writing and responses. On top of that, the cases protect the iPads from scratches and the occasional fall. Since students are not able to share devices, your donation is also helping keep the students safe. • Keyboard Cases for Media Literacy

  When I first dreamed of a one to one device classroom, I had no idea how vital these devices would become. Adaptation, flexibility, and patience are the key words for us in more ways than ever. Pivoting from in class to distance learning and back to the classroom are just a few of the changes we have endured this last year. Having devices that help students use various digital platforms have created a success in the most challenging of times.

  However, as we rely more and more on these devices, students needed more ways to demonstrate their learning. By adding the keyboard cases, students are able to develop typing skills while creating, writing, and practicing skills across the content areas. On top of this, the cases serve to protect the devices from the daily use of the students. These cases add a new layer of flexibility.

• One to One With iPads

  Words cannot express our gratitude for your generous donations. Throughout a year like none other, your donations brightened my students' lives. With all of the changes and new normals we are continuing to adjust and adapt to, the use of our classroom technology made an enormous impact.

  Since we have been building our digital skills throughout the years, changing to distance learning and hybrid learning went much smoother. These skills have been put to the test through the current pandemic. We moved from all digital work to our current mixture of paper based and digital. Having an iPad, keyboard case, and Logitech Crayon for each student who returned to the building allowed for a nearly seamless transition. Using the Logitech Crayon ensures students can continue building fine motor skills even on the digital devices.

• One to One Device Goal

  Thank you so much for your support. The past year has been a challenging time for so many. Some of my students are in the physical school house while others are continuing to attend classes from home. Although not the normal we are used to, my students have adapted to changing learning environments. Part of this success is related to the familiarity with digital tools and platforms. That would not have been possible without Donors Choose and generous donors like you.

  With your donation, I have enough iPads, cases, and Logitech Crayons to ensure all students attending in person have a done to one device. This is so important as we are following CDC guidelines which do not allow students to share devices.

  What once seemed like an impossible goal, is now within reach and so much more important today. Thank you for helping my students succeed no matter the obstacle.”

• S.T.E.A.M. Through Learning

  Thank you for your continued support. Chevron and Donorschoose.org make an impact in my classroom every single day! When I first started posting projects, I dreamed of the day that I could have enough technology for all students to use on a daily basis. Each year, I get closer and closer to that goal. Because of your generosity, my students are not only becoming readers and writers but also movie makers, digital artists, and engineers.

  Now that we have moved to distance learning during the current pandemic, your donations helped make the transition so much easier. My students were already familiar with different technology and digital platforms because they used them every day. Without your support, the students would be using brand new programs without much experience.

  In addition, the classroom and school environment looks a lot different now that some students are back in the physical building. One of the recommendations is that students do not share devices. Without your donations, I would have to drastically limit or eliminate these digital platforms. Now, I can ensure that every student returning can use one device, without having to share. This had made learning during the pandemic possible whether my students are in person or continuing distance learning.”
