Most anatomy classes use rote memorization to learn the parts of the body. By giving to this project, my students will be able to build their own models of body parts as we move throughout the different systems of the body. It's one thing to look at a paper and memorize for the test, but this opportunity will bring their materials to life. Having hands on elements, that students have designed, will be a game changer for their learning. 3D modeling is more realistic and better understood, especially when the students have to understand it enough to be able to create their model. Students will then describe the parts and relate the function to the structure of the organ.
