Magical Touches
Funded May 11, 2019We are so appreciative for the resources we received! The paper organizer has saved a lot of time locating papers for specific subjects. My students know where to get their homework sheets & extra papers right out of the labeled drawers! I also received construction paper which will be used to make learning crafts and activities colorful and bright!
Our library bins allowed us to categorize and sort our growing classroom library! We are able to find our fiction, non-fiction, mystery and animal books with having to sort through the whole library. We also received dry-erase pouches which keep our learning mats clean and easily visible to grab and start learning!
On our guided reading table is our table caddies which hold ALL of our supplies! Our caddies hold our scissors, glue sticks, highlighters, pencils, erasers, crayons & dry-erase markers. It is so easy to find what we are looking for!”

Neat and Tidy!
Funded Jan 22, 2019I can't begin to explain the excitement my class expressed the day our packages arrived! As we opened the boxes together, the colorful stools were the first gift we noticed. We screamed with joy to have more stools to put around our classroom and our guided reading table! "PURPLE!" they all shouted at once. Now that we have more stools for flexible seating, my kids are in a constant state of asking when they can go use a "colorful stool." They are so popular we had to make a name rotation for the stools! Our colored paper bin organizer was the next gift we opened. It's funny how quickly they came up with suggestions on what we can use our organizer for! Papers, construction colored paper, graded assignments, classwork- the list goes on! We are currently storing our weekly homework packets, behavior sheets, and daily ELA, Reading and Writing classwork papers inside the bins. Our next job will be to label the bins with the correct materials so our visual learners can easily access materials, as needed. We are so appreciative to our donors who continue to help make our classroom bright and cheery!”

Bright and Cheery
Funded Sep 7, 2018Thank you so much for your generous classroom donations! We plan to put all of our brightly colored card stock to great use! The first thing we'll be using it for is to make "X-Ray" crafts as we learn the letter "x" sound! The bright colors will make them stick out and catch our attention! My teacher now has a laminator to use when she wants to save our work and send it home as a souvenir. We can also laminate center activities so we can reuse them throughout the year! The Xacto knife makes it much easier for my teacher to cut out letters neatly and nicely. Because of your generous donation, our classroom will be bright and cheery and the colors will POP!”

With Organization Comes Empowerment!
Funded Mar 1, 2017We are so thankful and appreciative for all of the generous donations that were given to help fund our project! As soon as the packages arrived, we jumped with excitement to see our new goodies. We could barely contain our excitement as we unpacked our colorful stools, bright and cheerful rug, and new flexible-seating bouncy chair!
Our seat sacks were our most personal gift, as we unpackaged them and hung them on our chairs, we felt a sense of ownership and responsibility for having our own space to keep our materials safe and within reach. This has helped us enormously with transition time. We also love that our bright, colorful rug has a letter spot to comfortably fit our little growing bodies, without interfering with our friends' personal space. We also use our bouncy ball as a reward for all-star behavior and work! It also comes in handy when we're taking turns sharing at our rug.
Our teacher is loving her new organizing file folders and bins! She has already labeled each folder with our names, and began adding our classwork and saved tests and quizzes as a way to look back on the work we've done. We are also preparing to move all of our learning materials and manipulatives into our new plastic bins which will better help us locate our learning tools quickly and easily.
We can not thank you enough for these fun, new additions to our classroom! We will continue to use these tools to better our learning and growing experience in first grade!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Cassidy
