Library Representation for All
Funded May 10, 2023My students and I are humbled that you donated your money and kind thoughts to our classroom. We are thrilled to have books that represent our interests, and that are even written in our native languages. We are excited to learn about historical figures, and love exploring the different worlds fiction books take us.
As a teacher, I am so thankful that my students are excited to pick up a book and read it. Since adding the books that your generous donations funded to our classroom, students have been talking about new favorite authors, all the facts they have learned about important historical figures, and I have even heard a few students become excited as they have read a book about a character set in a place where they have lived. Thank you for making our classroom library better reflect our varied cultures and interest. Readers are leaders, and your generosity is helping raise up our next generation of powerful influencers.

This classroom project was brought to life by Neukom Family Foundation and 5 other donors. They're Worth It School Supplies
Funded May 21, 2015Thank you for supporting my classroom with your generous donations. My students and I are grateful for your kindness. Already I am seeing the impact of these simple supplies in our room.
My students now have access to quality markers and colored pencils which has allowed for the students to increase the quality of product they create. We have utilized the markers and colored pencils for projects including a tri-fold pamphlet about the Oregon Trail, a map of the 13 colonies, and thank you cards for our local fire department. Students were asked to synthesize their learning in creating these end-of-unit projects, and access to the markers and pencils allowed the students to express their thinking in a vivid way. Student learning has increased because student engagement has.
When a student knows that someone who doesn't know them cares enough to donate supplies for their use, it means a great deal. My students treat the supplies with the utmost care and respect because they know someone went out of their way to purchase them for our class. Again, we thank you for your generosity and thoughtfulness.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Bunker
