As I've taught more and more students, I have recognized the need to update and improve my classroom library. So many students are disinterested in independent reading or reading for fun, and my goal is to change that! With an improved classroom library, I can provide the students with a wide variety of book choices that are diverse, popular, and relevant to their life and interests. Although I have some books in my classroom, many of them are outdated or difficult for students to take interest in. I believe it is important for students to feel represented in and connected to books if we want them to read them and enjoy them. I have done a lot of research and selected a large variety of books that are modern, relevant, and cover many different topics, conflicts, and genres I think the students would be interested in. Please help me fill my classroom with books my students will love!
