We are a 5th grade classroom of 22 students from a large elementary school in an urban school district. The students come from a wide array of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. While we are making gains, some students are still not making the progress they need to meet state goals. My students are eager learners and love hands on activities like science laboratory projects, Math and Engineering/ STEM activities, research opportunities, as well as creative writing assignments. Our school strives to provide entertaining and engaging opportunities like these, despite budgetary constraints. We are a fun place to be and learn!

About my class
