My classroom is the specialized resource room which includes children ages 5-11, grades K-5, with a range of abilities and disabilities. I support children in all areas of academics, socials skills, and adaptive/life skills. I collaborate with general education teachers, our speech language pathologist, our occupational therapist, our school counselor, our trauma counselor, our principal, and all of the other staff (paraeducators, cooks, custodians, receptionists, etc.) My classroom has children with autism (low-high functioning), developmental delays, down syndrome, emotional/behavioral disorders, cognitive delays, and health impairments. My classroom has children who love art, reading, writing, nature, movies, technology, music, animals, and so much more. My students have so much to offer in this life and are some of the most amazing people on this planet.
