Music and Sensory Exploration for Students with Disabilities
Funded Dec 6, 2024Thank you so much for supporting our classroom! The students are absolutely loving using the sensory items. We were very excited to take them out and pass them around to see what they all do.
The new guitar with the wireless amplification is making it so easy for me to move around the classroom and be in direct proximity to all of my students, especially to my students who are hard-of-hearing and deaf. They are now able to touch the guitar and feel the vibrations as well as feel the vibrations on the speaker.
Again, thank you all so much for contributing. These items will benefit all the students I work with for several years.”

Ms. Stock
This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 10 other donors.Ukuleles for Rock Stars!
Funded Oct 9, 2019Thank you so very much for contributing to and funding our project! The students are so excited to dive into Ukulele's starting in January. We finished up our Winter Concert performances and the students got to try out their new instruments that they will be learning in the New Year.
Most of my students have never been able to see let alone hold a string instrument before so this was a very exciting moment for them. All of my students are going to be able to have success with these instruments so we are very excited.
We have not decided yet which song will be our first focus but we are leaning toward something like Bruno Mars or maybe even The Beatles!
Thank you, again. We are all so grateful for your kindness.”

Ms. Stock
We Want to ROCK!
Funded Dec 16, 2015The materials that were purchased for my classroom through your generous donations have been so useful for my students. Today we had a "Heritage Performance" which celebrated the Chinese New Year and Black History Month. During this performance, my students used the keyboards and amp. This made such a difference in our performance because they had working equipment that gave us no technical problems!
The new headphones and headphone jacks have been so incredibly useful in ensuring that all of my students are able to practice and learn independently. Each of their keyboards can be plugged into headphones and they can hear themselves. This is great for them, as well as for me in terms of classroom management and making sure all students are on task.
We are looking forward to using all of our new wonderful equipment for our Spring Show which we will start working on after our February break. Thank you again for your generosity to my amazing students. We would not be able to have the wonderful program we have without your kindness!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Stock
