A Nugget for My Little Nuggets
Funded Oct 17, 2024I just want to thank you again for being so kind to help my classroom get this project funded. I just couldn't believe it honestly!
The day the big orange box arrived my students were so excited. I let them watch me unbox it and get it out. They were jumping up and down excited. Oh to be 5 again. They are so easy to to make happy!
We have been using the nugget couch for flexible seating options and also during our centers for a listening center area. It makes for a comfy place for the students to listen to their audiobooks. They sure look forward to their time on the "big couch". Little things like this make such a difference in the classroom!! We are so happy with our addition.”

Listening Center With a Toniebox!
Funded Mar 27, 2024I just want to thank you for your generous donation to make having Tonie Boxes for my classroom possible. A lot of students that I have would never have the opportunity to have something like this at home.
My students have enjoyed having this from the day it arrived in the mail! They were so excited during the un-boxing! We started using it the next day!!
I have been able to use Tonie Boxes in my classroom so many different ways from a reward to a listening center! I am a collaborative teacher that has IEP students and they have really enjoyed getting to work for listening to a story!!
I also just LOVE having a SCREEN FREE option in a world full of electronics. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

This classroom project was brought to life by LOFT and 8 other donors. My Bookworms need a Bookshelf!
Funded Nov 24, 2019This bookshelf has been such a great resource to have in my classroom this year. I have enjoyed filling it up with seasonal books that the kids love to read and look at. I have so many books that follow different themes for example, Christmas, Winter, Valentine's Day, etc. that I never had a place to display before. The first day the kids came in with the new bookshelf their eyes lit up with excitement because of all the Christmas books. They instantly asked if we could read them all!! So cute!!
We are constantly reading in my classroom. I always start the morning with picking a book from the bookshelf to them. Sometimes students ask for a book we have already read by name. After reading it a few times they start to choral read it with me. That's such a fun thing!! During center time they have full access to the bookshelf to read some of their favorite books. I can hear them pretty much retelling the story word by word because of how many times we have read it even though they can't really read all the words yet. We just love to read!! Kindergarten is such a fun time to explore books.
I have noticed a few of my students have particularly enjoyed this center more than others because they don't have access to books at their home. They are always asking to go there to read!
I so appreciate the help of getting this to share with my sweet students.”
