  • Manipulatives for Learning, Headphones for Practice.

    Funded Dec 13, 2024

Thank you for donating to my classroom! I am so excited for these resources! The headphones will help my students focus while they work on online programs and the manipulatives will give students access to challenging concepts such as fractions, decimals, and percents! Thank you for your generosity! I appreciate you so much.”

  • Supplies for Showing What We Know!

    Funded Dec 22, 2023

Thank you for the generosity you showed in donating to this project. The desk dividers have helped my students focus on their own assessments. We call them "offices" and when they are out, students know that the expectation is to show their own work.

The fidgets have been really helpful with students who like to have something in their hands while they work. They give my students a way to get out energy while not disrupting the testing environment.

The pens allow me to give feedback that stands out so students can learn from mistakes and grow to their full potential.

    Thanks again!”

    Mrs. Farrar

  • Digital Learning Accessories & Organization

    Funded Feb 3, 2023

Thank you for your generous donations that allowed me to add 2 Apple Pencils, 2 iPad cases, and cord organization to my classroom. My students are provided with a Chromebook and 1 charger that we use often for digital lessons and practice. It's so nice to be able to keep the cords organized! I recently received two iPads and the Apple Pencils and cases have been so fun to use as a way for students to use various tools to enhance learning and understanding such as drawing, scanning and annotating their work, and using various learning apps. Thank you for your support in growing my students digital citizenship!”

  • Tech is the Way of the Future!

    Funded Jan 12, 2023

Thank you for your generous donations that allowed me to add 2 iPads and 5 Chromebook chargers to my classroom. My students are provided with a Chromebook and 1 charger that we use often for digital lessons and practice. The extra chargers and outlets are so helpful in not arguing with students about where their chargers are. They know how to solve Chromebook charging problems and can quickly plug in and get on task. The iPads have been so fun to use as a way for students to use various tools to enhance learning and understanding such as drawing, scanning and annotating their work, and using various learning apps. Thank you for your support in growing my students digital citizenship!”

  • Supplies for Scholars

    Funded Dec 10, 2021

My students and I use these supplies every single day! The population of students that I work with experience challenging living conditions and poverty. Some students come to school with no backpack and supplies, some come with an empty backpack, while some students come with more supplies in their backpack than they need. This creates disadvantages for some students and I am so thankful for your donation so that I can provide every single student with the basic supplies that they need to engage in learning, no questions asked.

Students loved choosing their own notebook style, color, and customizing them. They really enjoy solving problems together on whiteboards using the markers that were donated. We are all very thankful for an abundance of pencils and a sharpener to keep them sharp. I never want to argue or cause a student to feel embarrassed because they did not come to school with their own pencil, and this donation allows me to avoid all power struggles related to materials.

My students are learning how to ask statistical questions, collect data, create data displays such as dot plots, histograms, and box and whisper plots, and make observations about their data. We use these supplies daily in class and are so thankful for your donation!”

    Mrs. Farrar

  • Manipulatives and Supplies to Enhance Group Learning!

    Funded May 28, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donations. What a unique school year we have had so far! I planned to use these materials to support my students in their group work at school, but had to quickly change plans to support my students who are learning from home! Some of the materials (fraction bars, EXPO markers, colored pencils) will have to wait until students are back in the building. But with the other materials I was able to make my students supply bags with the notebooks, sharpened pencils, and stylus pens!

The families that I work with are often struggling to just get by, so they were very thankful for the supplies! As you can see in the photos, the stylus pens have been a total game changer for my 6th graders to show their mathematical thinking! I am so proud of the hard work they are doing in these trying times. Thank you for giving them access to tools that make learning accessible, easier, and more fun!

In my classroom, ALL students are expected to participate in some way, and they are!! They love that they have the choice to use notebooks and pencils and show their work during our zoom meetings, or do the work right on their touch screen computers with the stylus pens! Once we return to the building, I know that the rest of the materials will be incredibly helpful in supporting struggling 6th graders with fractions. For now, we will all keep doing the best we can. THANK YOU!!”

  • Basic School Supplies for an Extraordinary School Year!

    Funded Sep 10, 2019

Thank you for donating to my classroom! The supplies you provided us have given us the materials we needed to have a strong start to the school year. It is a relief to be able to provide my students with necessities like pencils, highlighters, and Kleenex without having to buy them with my own money. The poster paper and markers allow us to capture important learning and use it as a resource for when we get stuck! We use the supplies every day to bring our work to life, using colors really helps to engage students in important learning! Thank you so much for your support.”

  • Fidget Toys and Dice, Oh My!

    Funded Aug 22, 2018

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom! Your donation has allowed my students options in solving their problems in multiple ways. First, the variety of fidgets such as Tangle Toys, Mesh Squishy Balls, and Monkey Noodles (silly names, I know, but the kids love it!) have allowed my students to have something in their hands that is quiet as to not disrupt teaching, learning, and focusing. I have even noticed myself picking these up to have in my hand as I teach and work with students. Tangle Toys are my favorite and I usually always have one with me! My students were so excited about each type of fidget that it is now a classroom job to check out fidgets in the morning and check them in at the end of the day (and disinfect, of course)!

We have used the dice for playing games such as Quixx, Yahtzee, and multiplication war. Because there are so many I do not have to worry about students fighting over them, which takes a lot of pressure away and encourages me to let the kids PLAY! Thank you so much for these awesome items that help make learning fun!”

  • Going Out of Elementary School With a Bang!

    Funded Jul 14, 2018

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom. This project provided materials that my students and I use regularly. The whiteboards, markers, and chart paper require students to work together to complete tasks. At times, they are using a large white board to do separate work in math that they can then compare. This teaches students to critique and debate in a respectful way. I love how whiteboards can be erased so that paper is not being wasted. We use the paper for anchor charts to post around the room to remind students of strategies we have learned and provide examples. We use glue, markers, and sharpies to decorate our different notebooks that are used through out the day. Students often glue cut outs into their notebooks to look back on when they are needing an example. All of these materials are used often and by all of my students.

Because my students come from low income families, they often struggle with providing appropriate school supplies. This donation has taken the pressure off of my students and their families so that money can be spend on more important items such as bills, food, and clothing. We are all very thankful for your support to ensure that our classroom runs smoothly!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Farrar

The school that I teach at is very diverse in ethnicity's, cultures, and learning styles. The population is very migrant, which can make it difficult to build relationships with students, and for students to build relationships which each other. Most (92%) of our students receive free or reduced price lunch. Because a lot of our students live in poverty, I am responsible for a lot of their supplies.
