Thank you for helping our classroom and students. The students love all of the learning games. They are able to learn , play and have fun because of you. The magnetic blocks bring out their creative side. They love building cars, houses , and using their imagination to build. They alphabet games are a fun way for them to learn their letters and practice what they have learned.

These games have allowed them to work together to play and learn. Thank you for helping learning come to life in our classroom.”

  • Leaders Are READERS

    Funded Oct 19, 2017

Thank you for helping our Kindergarten class become a class of readers. We went from only knowing a few letters and sounds to reading books! We could not have done this without you help. You allowed these kindergrtners to chose from a variety of books and read books that they were interested in. They were excited to pick new books each day to read not only to themselves but to read to their reading partners and their teachers. You provided our classroom library with a lot more than just books, you have them an opportunity to love reading.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Smith

  • Focusing Energy!

    Funded Aug 23, 2017

Thank you so much for helping us refocus our energy. Our students love our flexible chairs as well as our sight word games. We have only learned a few sight words in the beginning of kindergarten but they love fishing for the ones they know. My students were so excited the first day of school when they saw, we had a bouncy chair that they get to sit in, I think that is their favorite. Everyday a new students gets to have the bouncy chair for a day. Not only does is help them focus on their work, but they look forward to coming to school.”

  • Super Readers!

    Funded Jan 31, 2017

Thank you all so much for making our class of leaders a bunch of super readers! Your generosity has opened up a whole new world of adventures and learning for our children through our new classroom books. Our students were able to choose books that were on their level and read books independently. They were able to form book clubs and with the new books they were able to act out their stories, become the characters, find sight words, read to their friends and make their stories come to life. Thank you again, we can't wait to keep reading out stories.”

  • iPads for Learning!

    Funded Mar 13, 2016

I can not thank you enough for your generous donation in helping our classroom get iPads. The students were so excited to open them are start using them! Every morning 3 students get the chance to go on a reading program called Raz-Kids, where they are able to listen to stories, answer compression questions and earn stars to build a rocket or robot. They can't wait to show us the new robot they have built. Every morning, the students come in asking "Do I get to use the iPad this morning?". The 3 lucky students race to unpack and can't wait to start reading on the iPad. We hear the students talking about how many stars they have earned, who has the most stars, or who has the coolest robot. Your donations have given these students the excitement to want to read, which is no easy feat for 5 year olds. Thank you again, your kind hearts have touched a Kindergarten classroom.”

  • Easel For Easy Learning

    Funded Dec 19, 2013

Thank you so much for your generous donations to help fund the Easel For Easy Learning. My students were so surprised when they walked in and saw our beautiful red easel on the carpet, in our meeting area. I am beyond grateful that you all took the time so my students could reach their full potential.

In the first grade a lot of our learning takes place on the carpet, that was very difficult to do without an easel. Now we are able to come to the meeting area and the students are able to use the easel on their own. Every Monday we get new spelling words and write the students write them on the easel, every hand shoots right up for the chance to go write the word on the easel. There's something magical about using a marker and eraser, they always seem to erase the word a few times in order to keep writing on the board.

The easel is part of our center time, it is always their first choice. I can't explain how an easel , it sounds so simple , has impacted our learning. It's an essential part of our everyday learning its where we making charts to hang up and do our math problems; it provides a visual for the students as well as an interactive place for them.”

My school is a community learning school. We work with the community to meet the needs of our students and members of the community. There are government funded buildings right next to our school that most of our students live in. We want them to be successful both in school and have resources outside of school hours, as well.
