My goal is to have a Buddy Bench for the Kindergarten Playground and a Buddy Bench for the Playground for Grades 1 - 5. Children will learn how to utilize this resource and will know what to do if they are feeling lonely and are in search of a friend. School Counselors and teachers teach tolerance and kindness and this will be a way for our students to be inclusive and demonstrate what they have learned. Children do better in school when they feel cared about and included. These benches will be a wonderful way show this to fellow students. This is just another way we are trying to make our school more of a community.
