Leveled readers will provide comprehensive reading development to support intervention and guided reading for my K - 1 students. Sentence strips and phonics manipulatives will promote literacy further, using a variety of learning modes. Lacking stimulation, developing learning skills is also necessary. Legos building blocks and floor puzzles build visual/hand coordination and social development. Our classroom, part of a city school serving low income students, is new this year, and with continued education cuts, only a small stipend is given. My traumatized "Emotionally Handicapped" students need intense academic intervention and extra support. We are asking for assistance to that end. Thank you!
