Being a Special Education teacher ALL of my students are reading below grade level. I see the sparkle in their eyes when I read to them! (Many of them have never been read to.) I want them to feel the same way when they hear themselves read aloud and get excited about their abilities. The sky's the limit!! My students are eager to learn but have great difficulty, which, at times, causes them fear and anxiety. Having an IPad would give them the opportunity to hear themselves read without the fear of other students hearing them. I believe that with love and time I can help them to become fluent readers who love picking all types of books; thus, helping them to be successful learners.
