My preschool students are active explorers! I work in a neighborhood school that truly is the heart of the neighborhood it serves. My half day Blended Preschool classroom is dedicated to not only teaching students academics (letters, numbers, colors, shapes) but also incorporating social and life skills (tooth brushing, hand washing, eating family style). Our Title 1 school really is the backbone of the neighborhood. School events, parent nights, and after school programs are much needed and highly sought out for the students that we serve. My students are highly diverse. While they all now live in the same neighborhood, their backgrounds, home language, and cultures vary greatly. We set high expectations for these students and strive to give them quality experiences that they may not otherwise receive.
