My current 10th grade English students have various learning disabilities. The majority of my students read and comprehend on about the 3rd-4th grade level. While I still use the mainstream curriculum, I try to modify what I can. This year, my students will read Frankenstein. I only have one copy of the Frankenstein, adapted version and would like to purchase a class set (15). Allowing each students to have their own text gives them more of an incentive to want to read the book (rather than all using printed copies).
