Magical Motivators and Supplies for Learning!
Funded Aug 14, 2024Thank you so much for the generous donations that my students are enjoying. They are actually thriving, and love choosing their own rewards for their hard work. They love having the choice to choose a scratch and sniff snicker , a squish toy, an scented eraser, or any variety of other choices when they finish their homework or do the challenge assignment. Such a "small reward", is a "big" deal to a 9 and 10 year old! It's the small things that are the big things to a kid!
My students always do their best effort during testing and assessments because instead of calling it "testing", we call it "celebration time"! They love to pick a snack from a variety of rice crispy treats, fruit snacks, and popcorn, as they celebrate and show what they know and what they have learned. It just makes testing time so sweet and enjoyable!
Thanks again for making magical motivating moments for learning in my classroom for my students!”

Funded Nov 30, 2022Your amazing donations have benefited all 25 of my students. They love to read the books, write up summaries of their reading and then present a "book talk" to their classmates.
The students were able to participate in our school wide reading competition, called "Battle of the Books" where they competed against other students in different classes answering questions about their books.
Each student was engaged in the reading and worked together as a team to compete in the competition. It was a very positive experience for everyone participating.
My students have made significant growth in their reading fluency, comprehension and retell this year. I appreciate your generosity in providing these books for my students!”

Funded Dec 29, 2021My students are using the white boards, dry erase markers and erasers daily as we assess math concepts, reading, spelling, vocabulary and writing skills. It is a quick and easy way to see how students are doing. They can perform their skill and hold up their white board for their peers to see, and for me, the teacher, to see what they know.
They prefer using the white boards above paper and pencils because it is easy to correct mistakes, and something different.
Thanks so much for providing these great learning tools!
I appreciate you so much!”

Funded Jan 22, 2022I want to thank you for your generous donations in funding my project. The supplies are making a positive impact on my students' love for learning.
Each of my students are unique individuals with a variety of talents, abilities, needs, characteristics, personalities, academic abilities, and learning styles. They have enjoyed and engaged in high quality academic activities that were funded by Donor's Choose.
My students loved participating in the Native American unit, learning about cultures and people from the past, looking at artifacts, and making arrow head necklaces. They were excited about the arrowhead products, and craft supplies donated from Donor's Choose. This activity was a success.
The pastel chalk art kits have been an asset for students to share their learning through art. They have enjoyed improving their art skills by using pastel chalk.”

Yoga Enters the Classroom and Enlightens Student's Education! Namaste!
Funded Dec 21, 2018My students love the yoga cards, yoga books and clip boards that were donated. They are able to practice their yoga breathing, yoga poses for increased flexibility and concentration, along with meditation math. The supplies have allowed them to be familiar with a positive mind set for learning.
Often times academics can be stressful and challenging for students, so yoga has given my students a tool to counteract that stress. By using the yoga cards to imitate body moves, my students are able to add mindful, calm movement that quiets the mind and helps them learn in a healthy, productive way. They are able to gain flexibility, mobility and maintain strong and healthy bodies!
My classroom environment is positive, peaceful, safe, and inviting. The supplies donated have enhanced and added to my students' learning environment which helps them to focus, concentrate and feel confidence.
We have loved adding yoga to learning!
Namaste!”

Funded Feb 7, 2019Thanks so much for the wonderful books that were donated about figurative language, yoga, and adventures. My students enjoy reading and learning about figurative language. These books have enhanced my students' ability to write poetry and include visual details.
My students love hearing me read the book Wonder, as I read each day for a read-aloud. My students are glued to every word as I read with expression and ask questions for comprehension and inferencing. This book teaches so many wonderful concepts to students such as acceptance, tolerance, patience, love and appreciating differences and disabilities.
Also, my students love the math games, flash cards, and math manipulatives to make learning fun! I love seeing them work in small groups and rotation stations as they are engaged in the activities that were donated. They have provided my students with stimulating learning tools. Each student has a smile on their face and that shows that learning is fun!
Thanks so much!”
