  • The Dog Ate My Homework

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

Words cannot express how thankful I am to have received this donation. My students were extremely thankful to receive a new homework folder and the materials to take home.

Thank you so much for helping me help my students and their families. One less thing they have to worry about. No more, I did not have pencil stories. No more excuses!

My students are so proud of their homework folder, I have a feeling I won't be getting any "dog ate my homework"stories; fingers crossed. No more wrinkly homework, no more lost homework.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Flores

  • Flexible and Differentiated Learning

    Funded Nov 11, 2022

Muchas gracias!!! Words cannot express how thankful I am for people like you.

Thank you so much for the generous donation! We have received our small table and stools and are super excited to begin our small grouping. Opening the boxes, I felt like a kid on Christmas morning!

Thanks to you, my students and I now have a place to gather. Being able to pull a small group of students to a separate location in the room will greatly improve their ability to focus on the material being taught as well as improve my ability to gauge their current levels of understanding and quickly readjust the direction of the lesson if necessary.

I truly appreciate your support, my students and I are forever thankful :D”

  • Have You Heard How Sharp We Are?

    Funded Aug 5, 2022

Words cannot begin to describe how thankful I am for people like you. My students were super happy when we received the boxes, they all wanted to sharpen their pencils. Having two pencil sharpeners and unlimited pencils is such a luxury!! Thank you so much!!! We assigned two pencil sharpeners to ensure the sharpeners last us a pretty long time.

Thank you so much for the awesome donations. You have made our life so much easier!!

Thank you again for your ongoing support of our kids!

We truly appreciate your commitment to the kids in our community.”

  • Creating with Cricut!

    Funded Apr 21, 2022

Words cannot express how thankful I am for people like you. When the Cricut arrived I did not know what to do with myself! lol, I was so excited, felt like a kid on Christmas morning.

Thank you so much for providing me with a Cricut for my classroom. I am able to do a lot of projects with my class!! I am so excited to learn about all the cool things I can do with it in my classroom. I was able to personalize the students' pencil boxes, I was able to create letters for my bulletin boards, and I am already planning Christmas gifts (bookmarks and cups). Thanks to you the possibilities are endless!

    Thank you!!!”

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

My students and I are beyond grateful for people like you. Words cannot express how thankful I am.

My students are going to be able to complete their very own first publishing book thanks to your contributions. My students are delighted that they have all of the materials to write their thoughts and bring their illustrations to life. Not only will my students use these materials for this publishing book, but also for everyday classwork and homework.

My students come from working class families that for the most part are not able to provide beyond the basic school materials. I am truly thankful for donors like you because you make such an awesome impact in my students lives.”

  • The Dog Ate My Homework

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

Words cannot express how thankful I am to have receive this donation. My students were extremely thankful to receive a new homework folder.

Believe it or not, they had never had an actual binder for their homework. They were used to the regular plastic folders. They thought only students in Middle school or high school could get them. The students were Sooo excited!! They felt grown! and started acting mature.

Thank you so much for helping me help my students and their families. One less thing they have to worry about.

My students are so proud of their homework folder, I have a feeling I wont be getting any "dog ate my homework"stories; fingers crossed. No more wrinkly homework, no more lost homework.”

  • Face Masks for Fabulous Students

    Funded Mar 4, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donations. With COVID masks policies changing everyday my students still wear their masks. Our district does not require masks anymore, although they are encouraged. My students have mentioned they do not feel comfortable being without a mask yet. They do not feel safe.

All of my students have been wearing their nice masks everyday, they even ask if they can take one to their younger siblings.

Thank you for helping my students look good and feel safe in class.”

All of these incentives are high interest, all of the kids wanted it. They cannot wait until our Friday's raffle. They want me to do a raffle for anything and everything. Homework, kindness, spelling tests, there are many ways they can earn these items.

Once again, thank you for choosing my class to donate to. We loved every single item from this project.”

  • Color Our Classroom

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

"Showing gratitude is one of the simplest yet most powerful things humans can do for each other." -Randy Pausch

Thank you so much for the generous donation. My students and I are forever grateful to you. Having a color printer is essential in the classroom and thanks to you we have one now. No need to be asking my neighbor teacher to let me print a few pages in black and white.

My students were super excited to be able to print in color. "Miss Flores, can I add a picture to my essay?" one of my students said. Thanks to you now I could say yes to them because not only are we able to print, but we are able to print in color!

Who would think that things such as a printer and ink can make people so happy?

From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for supporting my classroom.”

  • Step Into Reading

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

I am extremely grateful for your generous donations. You should have seen my students' eyes when they walked into the classroom and the saw the new book bins. Their eyes were full of joy! "Wow! Miss, we got all of those?" one of my readers said. They are super enthusiastic about reading them. "Miss, miss, can I read one of the new books,?" my students exclaimed. Before I put the books by levels I gave my students a chance to explore those books and skim through them. Each group got a few minutes to look at our new additions. They were so excited and they cannot wait for next week so they can switch their old books and start reading the new ones.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for helping us build a better library. My readers and I are forever grateful to you.

You are a true hero for supporting public school kids. Thank you!!!”

I know I have been inspired to pursue education because of the great teachers that have come before me. They took the time to share their knowledge and sparked my love for the classroom. I hope to connect my students with similar inspirational professionals and light their spark as well. My students live in an impoverished area of South Los Angeles. All of my students come from low-income families. We are a Title I school where ninety-nine percent of our students receive free meals. My students always try their best at everything and anything despite the challenges that they face in their daily lives. They are already not expected to have it as easy as others, but we learn that with hard work and consistency, they can be "unique" or different from the rest. My students are so eager to learn that it makes coming to work easy!
