  • Monarch Migration Links to Immigration!

    Thank you so very much for funding my monarch proposal!

    I am so excited to know that I'll have all of these resources to use in my new classroom. The kids will love having the monarch caterpillars in the classroom!

    I am especially excited because I'll be able to use the books and posters for science, social studies and reading. The students will really be able to connect the ideas of migration, immigration, mapping and Mexico across the curriculum! I even have a field trip planned where we will walk over to the lake to a field where milkweed grows for some "monarch watching." The students will get to map our route themselves. (Hopefully we don't get lost!)
