Listen! Read! Learn!
Funded Sep 26, 2016I can't begin to thank you for your huge generosity. This project has really brought my reading stations to life. My students are even more excited to pick up a book now.
The books provided in these materials bring so many things to life for my students. They can read or listen to stories about real people, such as Martin Luther King, Jr. My students get to use literature to help them understand cause and effect, prediction, main idea and detail, and author's purpose.
My students get to choose books they would like to read in our class library. They can also choose stories to listen to using the listening station provided by you. I believe that students develop a love for reading when they can choose the books they are interested in. By providing a wide variety of books in my classroom, my students are engaged in reading every day.”

Rebuilding for Learning after the Great Flood
Funded Aug 30, 2016I cannot explain the appreciation I have for your generous donations to bring my classroom back to it's "normal" engaging state. These materials have really brought my lessons to "life".
My students are so excited to rotate through stations and "play" with their activities without realizing they are learning. They can't wait for the time of day that they get to use all of these materials, whether it's dice or white boards or even tens frames.
These materials have helped make addition and subtraction fun! My students have learned how to "build" numbers and make equations. They have learned how to count up and count back.
Again, my students are thriving because of these materials and it's all thanks to you!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Forbes
Rebuilding After the Flood
Funded Aug 25, 2016Dear Donors,
I can't begin to thank you enough for your generous contributions to rebuilding my flooded classroom. The impact has been tremendous in creating the "normal" engaging classroom that my students are used to.
My students were so excited to see all of the activities! They absolutely love "playing" different game, not even realizing they are learning so many skills.
My students practice writing, spelling, rhyming, sounds, and so much more from these materials. There are so many ways to reach students of all levels with these materials. I can reach lower students by having them use the games just how they are; as they grow or reach higher levels, they can use the activities to write sentences or stories.
My heart is filled each time with excitement and appreciation every time I watch my students move through their stations with smiles on there faces as they use each of these materials.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Forbes
This classroom project was brought to life by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and one other donor.
