• Using Art To Learn About Music

  Thank you for providing my students with these resources! Thanks to you, I was able to create and distribute art kits which my students have been using in their homes during remote music class.

  This has been such a difficult time for so many of the children I work with and they were very excited to receive the crayons, markers, and construction paper. Having creative outlets has never been more important and I can't tell you what a difference these materials have made to my students. • Musicians Learning at a Distance Need an iPad!

  Thank you for contributing to this project! Receiving this iPad has transformed my home teaching space and has allowed for me to see my students on one screen while looking at my lesson on another. It has enhanced my ability to teach in an engaging way remotely and has help me keep the 231 students I teach weekly focused and interested.

• A Trumpet for the Tiger Tones

  Thank you for bringing a trumpet to our school music program! My fifth grade trumpet player was so emotional and grateful when I surprised him with the trumpet. He has been practicing every day and although he is still a beginner, it adds a new layer to our music program's sound.

  The other students enjoy playing their own instruments along with the trumpet. All of these students who are in this ensemble come in before and after school as well as during their lunchtime to practice and enjoy playing music. Your decision to support our group impacted such a wonderful group of children. Thank you for your generosity!”

• Batteries to Keep Our Pianos Going and Going and Going!

  Thank you for supporting this project! It is great to know I will be starting the 2019-2020 school year with all the supplies I need to teach piano effectively. I am excited that the batteries in this project are rechargeable and that with the addition of the battery charger, I might never need to spend money on batteries for our keyboards again. • iRead Music With An iPad

  Thank you so much for supporting our music program! The addition of the iPad to our music classroom has been a great way to keep my lessons fresh, especially as our school year winds down and students are ready for something new and fun.

  I love watching my students use the iPad to utilize educational and engaging apps. It has also made traveling to my school's annex much easier as well since I don't physically have to bring as many materials with me. This device has certainly enhanced our music program and I look forward to continuing to learn more about what I can do with it in my classes for September.”

• Keys Please: Piano for Our Music Classroom!

  Thank you so much for your generosity! This gorgeous new piano has been a great addition to our music classroom. I have truly enjoyed engaging my younger learners while accompanying their singing on piano. My top middle school piano students have enjoyed playing on the instrument as well.

  Nothing replaces live music played in front of you on an instrument. This piano makes it possible for my students to experience that every day. It also allows my most gifted piano students to perform for one another using a beautiful keyboard with weighted keys. Thank you for supporting our music program! This piano will be a beloved part of my classroom for many years to come.”

• Help Us Rise Up!

  My students have been loving these beautiful new risers! Thanks to your generosity, all 66 of our second grade students could be seen onstage during our spring production of Seussical! We also have used them for our kindergarten graduation as well as our awards ceremony and have plans to use them for many years to come in all of our concerts and presentations.

• Once Upon a Song

  Thank you so much for providing my students with these new materials! It was especially great to have exciting new musical stories and CDs for the last month of school when students are really ready for something fresh and different.

  As you can see from the photos, my students have been enthusiastically devouring the new additions to our music library. They have particularly enjoyed the stories where they can push buttons and hear recordings of Tchaikovsky's orchestral music! I have gotten so much joy from watching them explain musical concepts to one another when they look at these books together. It is beautiful to see them blossom into confident young musicians!”
