  • Uke Can Help Us Play Ukuleles!

    Funded Dec 12, 2024

Today I surprised my fourth grade students during music class by presenting them with their own individual ukuleles to play. To say they were thrilled is an understatement. We had a great time experimenting with the instruments and talking about their origin and tuning. After a lot of ideas were tossed around, they decided their band name would be The Alohas. Every single child left the room with a big smile.

Thank you so much for donating to this project! So many children are looking forward to coming to school tomorrow because of you. You are the best!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Trindle

  • Middle Schoolers Want To Play Volleyball

    Funded Oct 30, 2021

Thank you so much for giving my students the gift of volleyball equipment! They were completely delighted when they came outside for recess and saw that they no longer had to pretend that there was a net on the black top. It has been a huge hit and it gives recess a more organized and competitive feeling.

Having extra balls has been a nice bonus as well. It's amazing how quickly we can wear equipment out and it has been great having a surplus ready to go for future use. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of so many children!”

Thank you so much for supporting this project! It feels great to have new supplies that make the music room and fun and inviting place to be, especially after such a difficult two school years. Although due to Covid concerns I have been unable to teach full classes in my room, I have worked with small groups and ensembles in my music classroom and the students have loved the change up!

Thank you so much for choosing to support education! Your generosity means the world to me and my students.”

  • Expand Our Music Library

    Funded Mar 26, 2021

Thank you so much for funding this project! My students have really been enjoying learning about different types of music. They particularly love the short biographies of the musicians and now I have many Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Prince, and David Bowie fans on my hands!

This is a challenging school year and while I am unable to use my music room due to size issues and Covid concerns, having materials that are easy to bring to different classrooms makes such a difference. Thank you for supporting music education!”

  • Hip Hop Ya Don't Stop: Virtual Residency for Middle School

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

Thank you so much for funding this virtual hip hop residency! It was a huge success! The teaching artist from the New Jersey Performing Arts Center was knowledgeable and engaging and my students (and I) really enjoyed it and learned so much!

After over a year of primarily virtual instruction with the same few teachers, it was refreshing for my students to experience working with someone from a different field who had such contagious passion and energy for hip hop. It was so rewarding for me as a teacher to see my students interact in this way. Thank you for supporting them and giving them a new experience during such an unprecedented time.”
