  • Let’s Do It Again

    Funded Oct 19, 2022

My Students really enjoyed all of their supplies. We made high frequency words. Each group was able to have a set of flash cards to practice there words. The students are going to create Valentine cards for Valentine's Day. They will be able to use their assortment box of crayons to create a special picture for their parents. The laminating sheets are going to help my students preserve their pictures for a lifetime. When the boxes arrived to my class I said I wonder what this could be? I asked the students to guess what was in the box? Someone said a video game. Someone said some books. So I said let's open it so we can find out. So I picked up the box and I told them the box was very heavy. I begin opening the box. Once it was open I removed the package. It was a huge box of crayons. They said it's a lot of colors in this box. I told them that they can use them but they have to take care of them. Thank you for supporting my classroom.”

  • Teaching History to Young Minds

    Funded Feb 11, 2021

Words can't express our gratitude. We are so grateful that you funded our project. I didn't know how I was going to help my students through this pandemic. I knew that they had to learn no matter what. The At Home Learning kit was just what my beginning learners needed. The At Home Learning Kit provided my students with crayons, pencils, and flash cards. In the kit it provided my students with a writing journal. They were very excited to receive their kits. They had tools that they could use at home or in school. Thank you for giving my students the opportunity to learn.”

    Funded Feb 3, 2021

Words can't express how thankful we are to you. Thank you for giving my students the opportunity to learn regardless if they were remote learners or face to face. The At Home Learning Kit provided my students the opportunity to learn anywhere at anytime. My students were excited to take their kits home so that they could continue to practice the skills that they learned in school. They enjoyed writing their names, days of the week, and simple sentences inside their journals. They also practice their numbers with their math flash cards. Thank you for providing my students with the At Home Learning Kit.”

  • Moving Forward With Reading

    Funded Sep 16, 2020

We are so grateful and humble that you chose our project to support. As an educator, it is my job to provide all my students with the tools they need to learn. However, I realized that I can't do this job alone. It takes a village to shape our children's minds and their future. I appreciate your kindness and your willingness to help us. You have provided my students with materials they can use. My students are learning all kinds of information from our informational text books. They are beginning to read their sight word flash cards. They can identify the sight words while reading there text. They were very excited to see all of their resources. We want to shout out a big thank you to you. You have provided my students with new materials that will help them continue to learn in a fun way. We can't say thank you enough.”

  • Learning From a Distance

    Funded Aug 9, 2020

Words can't expressed how thankful we are for you. Thank you for supporting our project. This project will help us with learning from a distance. The Corona virus has changed the way teachers teach and how children learn. The resources will enable me to teach children in an effective way. The speaker will allow students to not only see the videos but also hear the videos as well. The adapter will allow me to down load information from my flash drive to the computer. Thank you for allowing my students to learn from a distance.”

  • Becoming a Life Long Reader

    Funded Mar 4, 2020

I was so excited when I saw donation pouring into our classroom project. I was keeping my students updated on how much was donated and how much more we needed to get the project across the finish line. Many of my students wanted to know what were we going to get. I told them that I requested books for our classroom library. I expressed to them that I ask for fiction and nonfiction books. Fiction books are a great tool to use to teach children about character, setting, problem and solution. Fiction books also have pictures that younger students can read when they are unable to read words.

Nonfiction books help young readers learn about text features such as, pictures, titles, table of content, index and glossary. Nonfiction books teach early learners information and facts about different topics. I was hoping that this project would get funded and it did. I was so thankful that donors like you help this project reach the finish line. I told my students that there were some incredible people in the world that truly care about their education and success. Unfortunately I'm not able to put the books in my students hands at this time due to school closures. However, when school returns back to normal my students will have the books that they need to move them forward.”

  • Communicating Through Writing

    Funded Jan 24, 2020

Thank you for supporting my project Communicating Through Writing. My students were so surprise to see the variety of materials that you donated to us. They were eager to start using their coloring pencils and writing paper right away. They were able to write and draw pictures on their writing paper. For Valentine's Day they created a Valentine's Day place mat to take home to their parents. They used their tag board to create their place mats. My students were very creative. They drew hearts, flowers, animals and the people that they love.

Some students wanted to use the crayons and the coloring pencils to create their finish product. Young learners have to be able to express themselves. Communication is very vital to young learners. It is very important that they are given the chance to communicate by speaking and writing. Beginning learners enjoy talking and socializing with their peers. They also like to draw pictures so that they can show others what they are thinking. They really enjoy using their Super Safe Paper Center. The Super Safe Paper Center allow students to get the paper that they need to write on. Writing and reading go together. You can't do one without the other. We are thankful that you supported our project. Thank you for allowing us to Communicate Through Writing.”

  • Counting in Different Ways

    Funded Oct 13, 2019

Thank you for my class Versa Tiles Math kit. This Math kit allows my students to learn their number sense in a variety ways. Students can count objects in a set. They can look at the pictures and determine which group has more and which group has less. Students can match the pictures with the correct number. They can also count forwards and backwards.

The Versa Tiles Math kit is helping my students learn more about Base ten. My students enjoy looking at the ten frame and saying how many they see very quickly.

I like asking them 10 and 2 more =12. They are getting good with this. This kit gives me several different techniques and strategies to ask the children when it comes to number sense. I like to asked them 12 is 10 and how many more? It gives my students the ability to think outside the box and it also sharpens their number sense skills.

I love this kit because it is kid friendly but, it also has the rigor my students need in order to think a little deeper. The Algebraic Thinking allows my students to recognize there are several different ways to get 10. For example, 6+4=10, 7+3=10, and 9+1=10.

Thank you for funding our project. My students get excited when it is math time. They love math and their Versa Tiles Math kit.”

  • Workstation Central

    Funded Oct 30, 2019

Words can not express how we were feeling when we found out our project got funded. When the boxes arrived to our classroom my students were saying ooh what's that? Their eyes were bright and they were jumping up and down due to the excitement. I told them that we were going to open the boxes and take a look inside. They were so excited to see the chart tablet, the different colored bins and the At your seat storage bags. The kids were happy to see their tote bags for their books. The students were able to see their incentive charts and the stickers. You have provided resources for my students that will help them become more independent and they will be able to succeed and achieve. We are so grateful to you and we thank you for supporting us. It takes a village to get students on the right path. I'm so humble and honored that you made this project come to life.”

  • Thinking Outside the Box

    Funded Aug 14, 2019

Words can not express the gratitude that we have. Thank you for supporting our classroom project. My students are eager learners and they want to learn all they can. The resources have helped my students in a tremendous way. The Ten Frames are helping my students understand how to make a ten in a variety of ways such as 5+5=10 and 9+1=10. The Simple Addition Magnetic Math Tin is providing my students with pictures and numbers. Students can use the pictures to add the numbers than they can find the numbers that match.

My students were very excited to see the balance scales. They were placing things inside of them to determine which object was heavier and which one was lighter. They would add 3 counting bears to one side and 5 counting bears on the other side. They were curious about if the scale would be balanced are not. They realized that the side with the 5 bears were heavier than the side with the 3 bears. The Shapes Magnetic Tin has helped my students recognize their shapes faster.

The Store Display Teaching Cart is a great tool to have. My students are able to use the dry erase board to spell out their sight words. They can also read simple sentences. These resources have increased my students performance and self- esteem.”

The materials will make learning fun for my students because it will be materials that they can explore with. They will be able to hold the iPad and take pictures of things that are real, such as insects, and leaves, especially when they turn colors. They can use the STEM kit and learn how things move and how magnets attract to one another. They can have conversations about what they are learning. They will have the opportunity to have their own headphones, and a read aloud that they can enjoy reading. Kids can learn so much more when it's fun.
