Sensory Zone
Funded Dec 15, 2021Thank you so much for your donations! The sensory items have been a perfect addition to my classroom and given my students so much sensory input, sensory breaks and is helping them to cope with the occasional big feeling.
My students were so excited to see all the items when we unboxed them. They were even more excited to see the sensory space set up! They love being able to earn time there and get a break when needed!
We are looking forward to adding even more to our sensory area. The writing and fine motor activities have helped so many of my students. One student really loves the magnetic mazes which has done wonders for his pre writing skills. He is now starting to trace his name and make his own circles! Many of my students have improved their writing and functional fine motor skills. Thank you again for providing them with the best tools to learn!”

Tools to Learn and Play in K
Funded Feb 18, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donations! My students were beyond excited to see the sand table and whiteboard. We had a ton of fun the first day the items came exploring the new learning tools. My students were so excited to play with the sand table and different games. I was so thrilled to see them so happy to play together, share, and interact.
Weeks later, my students are still LOVING this sand table. My students have been beyond motivated by this addition to our classroom. Before the sand table, one of my students was completing very little independent, or group work. Ever since we received the sand table, he loves working during instructional times to earn playtime at the sand table. He will frequently finish a task and say "All done, sand table YAY!" It has been amazing to see how much progress he has made with this motivation. Another student has become so well versed in using the castle molds she can build, what looks like, small cities in the sand table.
The whiteboard has been an asset to our classroom as well. We are able to use it in small group and whole group lessons and it also serves as a productive structured play area as my students are far more motivated to write on there and "play teacher" than they are to practice their writing on paper. My students have been significantly more engaged in small and whole group instruction with this whiteboard as opposed to the personal or out-of-reach whiteboards I had been using. My students love building words and coming up to the board during phonics instruction!
I am so grateful for the additions to my classroom. My students and their families, who get to see their progress, are beyond thankful.”
