Technology Upgrade for the STEAM Lab
Funded May 6, 2024I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation towards the purchase of a new laptop. Your support means a great deal to me and to all of my students.
With the addition of this laptop, I will be able to enhance the learning experience for my students by integrating technology seamlessly into our lessons. Beyond the classroom, this laptop will allow me to prepare lesson plans, grade assignments, and communicate with students and parents more efficiently from anywhere, and be able to collaborate with other educators.
Your generosity has not only provided me with a valuable tool but has also shown your commitment to supporting education and empowering teachers like myself to provide the best possible learning environment for our students.
Once again, thank you for your generosity and support.”

Funded Mar 27, 2024I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation towards our gel crayon project. Thanks to your support, we have successfully reached our goal and were able to provide our students with the tools they need to unleash their creativity. I am looking forward to experimenting with them to see the best projects to start with.
I am looking forward to introducing this new tool to the students, and I am sure they will be excited to see how their art comes out so bright and beautiful. Thanks so much for your contribution to our STEAM Lab!”

Funded Feb 16, 2024The Teachers Pay Teachers website has been a huge resource to me and my classroom. While I often use this site for fun activities, tools, and other resources, I also like to use them for kid-friendly clipart that we can use in our presentation tools, in learning, and in other activities. I can find templates, games, creative challenges, and more.
Thank you for bringing the impact of these materials to my classroom and to the STEAM Lab. I am excited to add new materials to our growing collection of resources for students!”

Technology Tool Update
Funded Jan 25, 2024Well, kids are kids, right? Some of our previous technology tools had become worn or broken and we needed some new headphones and mice to replace the ones that we had. The headphones are very useful for when I send students on a research exploration or to advance their coding skills through self-paced activities.
The mice are equally as useful for doing more precise work. I have discovered that my youngest students do not know how to handle a mouse! This is actually a new thing that I have noticed in the last few years. I am glad that I can give them a chance to try it out. The mousepads have also been a good addition because our tables have a vinyl protective cover and the mice do not like the reflective surface.
Thanks again for helping advance our STEAM Lab classroom!”

Life in a Rotting Log Life Science
Funded Jan 25, 2024The students have been studying insects for several weeks. I have moved on to a different unit for the time being, but I know they will be super excited to take a break away from that to get to know our new, classroom friends - millipedes, bess beetles, and more! Insects and non-insects alike.
We will enjoy making comparisons to the ones that we already studied. We have seen some local millipedes around our classroom, but they seem as if there is something in our local environment that has affected some of them. We keep finding them dead or dying, and have tried our best to rescue the ones that we have found. Having the much bigger and heartier millipedes will be an uplift for my kids!”

Squaring Up Our Carpet Space
Funded Aug 28, 2023Adding the turquoise squares to our carpet has made it much easier for grouping. The students enjoy having the matching carpet squares to the table/team colors.
This carpet in general has been a really wonderful asset to the STEAM Lab for team building and organization.
We do a seat and table shuffle ALMOST every time students come to the STEAM Lab. They like getting mixed up into different groups and not always sitting with he same classmates. They get an opportunity to change up groups and seating this way.
Thanks for donating to my classroom and making improvements to the environment for my students!”

Funded Aug 28, 2023Animals in the classroom always have a huge impact on student learning. Children love animals and classroom pets, especially in those students who are not able to have one in their own homes. Additionally, have these animals in the STEAM Lab make for fantastic life science learning. This large paludarium will be a long-term project that students will appreciate as we piece it together a little bit at a time. That habitat is a terrarium that also can hold aquatic animals at the bottom.
We are not quite sure what animals will end up in the terrarium yet, as students will help to do some research and to make suggestions. Thank you for helping this dream project a reality.”

Funded Aug 28, 2023I want to thank the donors for helping to maximize our environmental space to make it more calm and safe for both our STEAM Lab and the preschool classroom next door.
The STEAM Lab is a very busy and noisy environment, and we don't want to be the "noisy neighbors." Adding this moving partition to the classroom would assist in curbing sound, add privacy, and help to reduce the stress over having loud activities in the classroom that might disturb others. In addition, the partition will serve as a visual barrier for some of our active preschoolers, and will make for a more comfortable learning environment for all of us.
Thanks again for your contribution to our learning space.”

Funded Aug 1, 2023Thank you for helping my students have access to materials available on the Teacher Pay Teachers website. These resources are created for students by teachers and provide some of the best and engaging activities for my students.
Some of the best and most engaging activities come from the item bank at Teacher Pay Teachers, and saves me time.
By funding this project, it allows me to bring a variety of educational materials to my students at all different grade and experience levels in my classroom. Your donation will help support over 400 students at my school, not only this year but in years to come.
Thanks again for supporting my students.”

Stickers for Students: Classroom Rewards
Funded Aug 2, 2023The stickers are a great hit with the students coming into the STEAM Lab. They love to look through all of the options, and there are so many to pick from! Looking forward to having students be able to get rewards though table points or caught being good.
This will also help to build a sense of community as students set examples of model behavior in my classroom and at my school.
We were able to collect a lot of stickers in a variety of options! I have so many different types of animals, science, Pokémon, Mario, food, and more. The kids are excited to see the new options.
Thank you again for supporting my classroom.”
