We were lucky enough to receive a grant for iPads that are shared between my room and the Technology lab for Robotics. My scholars would love to be able to use them to draw, code, and write about their ideas, but the natural setup of an iPad is inaccurate with their fingers. This is especially true for drawing pictures or coding games, where the tapping and dragging are far less accurate. The difference is like the one between finger painting and a paint brush. The styluses will allow the students to draw more naturally and accurately, while the keyboards will allow them to convey information much more quickly; especially when coding. They want to be able to develop Art, games, videos, and stories. These tools will help them do just that.
