Making Education Easier
Funded Jan 25, 2018This shelf has been a game changer for our classroom. I am now able to be more organized and change learning materials in and out in the centers for students. Before we received the cabinet students had a lot of valuable space that they couldn't access, because it was being used for storage.
Being able to store things in this cabinet and use other shelving for student access has made students become more independent in the classroom. They are able to access more materials and explore. They learn to stay organized and how to put materials away when not in use.
We want to take this time to say thank you for donating your hard earned money to help our students flourish even more. As we are approaching the end of the year the students are exploring different science experiments weekly. They are learning vocabulary words and how to explore like a scientist.”

Funded Nov 29, 2016Zoo Phonics has been amazing in our classroom. It helps the students become engaged in learning their letters and letter sounds. Phonics is the foundation to reading and writing and my students are rocking it in just this short amount of time. Students are beginning to use the sounds to help create words or what we call early invented spelling.
Thank you so much for helping us bring a new and engaging way of learning. This has helped teach students the skills they need to prepare for reading. My students loves acting out the animals and can now do it with just the letters. We greatly appreciate all your donations.”

Bringing Education Alive
Funded Dec 26, 2015I want to thank you all for helping us get this colored printer in our classroom. This has been ever changing. We have been able to print pictures of student making achievements in the classroom this has been a great motivation tool. We have been able to print of things to create games for the students to manipulate. We have been able to create labels to tell where items go. We have been able to do so much with the printer already.
Even though my students don't even realize we have a printer in our classroom they pay attention to different things around the room that is no longer in that boring black and white. In my block center I had pictures in black and white for them to try to create and they never paid attention to it. Until one day I re-printed them in color and then they started coming up to me saying "look I made the picture." Color makes a huge difference when it comes to creating a great classroom environment.
I just want to take this moment to thank you so very much. Words cannot express how much this printer has changed the life of our classroom and the things that students notice. I find myself hanging things without showing them just to see if they will notice.”

Laying the foundation with Technology
Funded Jul 2, 2015My class and I want to thank you for helping us get another computer in our classroom. As you may know technology is the go to for our generation. In pre-k we lay the foundation for our leaders of tomorrow. Education is starting to become technology. The school district is trying hard to keep up with the technology demand.
Multiple students are able to get on the computer simultaneously and work on programs like imagine learning, star fall, and ABC mouse. Some of these programs are provided by district to help ELL students. Students are able to learn how to manipulate a mouse which is a fine motor skill or use the touch screen. Many students in my school have no access to computers until the get to school.
Pre-k students love to get on the computer especially when I make it into a tablet. They think they are just playing games, but it is really another way of learning. I am so appreciative of your donation. Last year I functioned with only one computer. This year I have two computers and my personal IPAD. I love to see the excitement on the students face when they get to pick what they want to do. So again thank you.”
