  • Cute As A Button!

    Funded Apr 8, 2022

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.

My students have been able to use the button maker for several school wide events now.

It has allowed them to wear their pride on their sleeves quite literally. We are forever grateful that you continue to support our students in meaningful ways. During a time of such political uncertainty where the rights of so many people are at stake, it's people like you and your contributions to the next generation that keeps our faith going.

    Thank you for everything.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Coneti

  • Masks Keep Us Safe! Not The DOE

    Funded Jan 18, 2022

My students and I are deeply grateful for your kindness and generosity. Our students have been so excited about their new colorful masks. It has been overwhelming to see them take masks not just for them but also their siblings and family members.

During these trying times, you have all been there to support my students with the very basic essentials that they have been deprived by our so called "leaders." Even with the end of the mask mandate many of our students have continued to mask to keep themselves and their community safe. Thank you for everything, always.”

  • Snacks on Snacks!

    Funded Feb 14, 2022

It has just been a few weeks since we received our order of snacks and I am already seeing more students stay with me during lunch so they can complete homework or get some extra help.

I am so truly grateful for all of you amazing angels who help me in keeping up with my snack supplies for my students. It gives me an opportunity to check-in with them and gives them an a safe space to take a break and just be.

These snacks are more than just a food source for me and students and I am always counting my blessings that I am able to provide my students with these moments thanks to all of you”

  • Kaacchooo! Help Us Stay Safe!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

When DOE leadership and the government failed our students all of you came together to make sure they have essential supplies to stay safe during this pandemic.

Kleenex tissues and paper towels have been the most helpful so far. Thank you! We've also had several "accidents" during labs and having a broom and dustpan to clean up and keep our peers and ourselves safe has been a blessing.

I cannot thank you enough for supporting us with basic (pandemic) necessities like surgical masks and hand sanitizer. It is with your support that we are able to keep our classes as germ free as possible. Thank you once again for your donations. My students and I truly are grateful for your kindness.”

  • Sacks for Success- Part 2!

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

This school year by far has been one of the most challenging so far for all of us, especially our students and families. However, your kindness and generosity has helped us teachers still provide a sense of normalcy and comfort to our students. This year more than ever my students have been avoiding lunch because they do not want to be in the cafeteria. Having snacks in my classroom helps me give these students a little something to stay awake and get through the day until the get home and eat.

Thank you once again for support my students and me in making sure they have a bite during the day to keep them going from one class to the other.”

  • Snacks for Success!

    Funded Aug 28, 2019

I sincerely apologize for the delayed response. This has been a personally challenging year so far for me. However, what has kept me going is the love and passion my students hold for learning and life. Thanks to all of you and your generosity my students have been regularly attending after school to study and enjoy their snacks. Students absolutely love Gold Fish and Pop Chips!! They also enjoyed the Kind Bars. Having snacks in my room has also helped me to invite students up during lunch who usually don't prefer school lunch. This has enabled me to have conversations with them that allow me to know them as people and not just learners know my classroom.

Thank you once again for you kindness and generosity. We are truly truly truly grateful.”

  • Chromebooks for Emergent Bilinguals

    Funded Jun 18, 2019

Thank you so much for helping us expand our classroom resources. This year we had a slow start to getting our new laptops ready, but now we're back on track. It gives me immense joy to see my students take ownership of their learning and supplies. Every time we use our Chromebooks, my students carefully remember to put them back in the right spot and make sure each Chromebook is charging. During our recent lessons on comparing body systems and organelles, students used their new Chromebooks to watch videos on different body systems in both English and Spanish. It was extremely satisfying to watch my students be able to access content in two different languages. Thank you so very much once again for your support. We truly, truly appreciate all of you!”

  • Back to School Basics

    Funded Oct 20, 2018

In the last 2 months I have had 3 new students: one from Yemen and two from China. Thanks to all of you and your generosity I have been able to equip all my students new and old with all school essentials. The gratitude in their eyes and the excitement in their voice as they try to say "thank you" is something I cannot fully describe in words.

As a teacher in the public school system I largely depend on my family, friends and donors like yourself to make it possible for my students to have everything they need for school. So thank you, once again for helping me help my amazing students. Thank you for caring enough to make it possible for each one of them to have pencils, pens, binders, folders and every other small thing they need everyday at school. Thank you for bringing the smile and confidence in my students' lives!”

  • Chromebooks For Emerging Bilingual Scientists!

    Funded Jun 30, 2018

Every year when my students receive a few more new laptops it helps us build a better community of learners. My students become more responsible and reflective on who they are in this society and not just in this classroom. These Chromebooks signify more than just a piece of technology that helps them access education in a language of their choice. We learn disciple through thinking of ways we can organize and maintain our Chromebook cart and turn taking as we still wait to have a complete class set of Chromebooks.

So far this year my students have used the Chromebooks to support their English language acquisition and basic understanding of Living Environment. I am truly grateful to all of you for giving my students and me the opportunity to learn and grow together. We are eternally thankful for your kindness and thoughtfulness. As the year goes by we will be using our Chromebooks to dive deeper into science and we know this is possible because of all you. Thank you once gain.”
