We need books that are selected by the Florida Department of Education and Florida Association of Media in Education as exemplary literature for 3rd - 5th grade students. With these books, my students will have the opportunity to read quality stories that expand their reading comprehension, love for learning, and imagination. Our students are challenged school-wide each year to read these books and many won't have access to these books on their own. The wide variety of books on this year's list will encourage students to read independently for pleasure and to read books that are on, above, and below their reading level in order to improve their reading fluency. Our titles include Ugly Cat, Wish, The Great Treehouse War and many more.
