Engaging Creativity in Science
Funded May 13, 2019My students are so engaged while learning with these markers. They love creating and being creative on the lab tables. They were so excited to be able to draw on the tables. All students in the group were participating and contributing to the models. We are able to use them for all different topics in science.
Next, we are going to use them to model atoms. They will draw different elements with their respective protons, neutron and electrons. We will also use them for food webs, food chains and food pyramids. The limit is endless on what we can use these markers for.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Craig Newmark Philanthropies and 2 other donors.Guinea Pig Class Pet
Funded Aug 29, 2018The two guinea pigs were such a welcomed addition to our classroom. The large cage made it so much easier for the students to interact with them. The students love finishing their work and being able to carry them. They are researching more about guinea pigs and learning where they are native to.
The students were so excited when we received the packages from Amazon. They couldn't wait to put the cage together. They researched the best layout for the guinea pigs to have enough space to walk around, eat and sleep.
Our science classroom is always trying something new. Next, we want to order dry erase markers to draw and design on our lab tables. It is so motivating and engaging to use color and models to explain our thinking. We can't wait.”
