We have seen such a dramatic drop in reading over the last couple years, and our library has been in much need of new books as students' interests have changed. These books Diversity and Inclusion books meet so many needs and interest levels of our students. I get excited to bring my students to the library each week, and they eagerly show up each week looking for the new books.

  Our librarian has seen a big difference in the excitement of our students as they search for the latest and greatest books from our donors.

I can't wait to see what students produce this year with these drawing books! My students cannot thank you enough for these drawing books for our school year. With these drawing books students can easily sketch during free choice time and/or during a stressful time in between subjects or periods. The students in this years class really respond well to artistic expression and these drawing books and pads are just perfect.

  When we showed students these new tools for learning we received a round of applause. Students immediately started organizing their drawing, coloring, and basic sketch tools while writing their names on their new books. The first day we gave students some free choice time where some students worked in groups to create pictures and other students used their Chromebooks for sketching tutorials.”

• Robots, Robots…Can We Build a Robot Part III?

  Funded Apr 28, 2022

  STEM and STEAM activities are new to me as a classroom teacher. These kits inspired me to take some time to get kids in collaborative groups to think like an engineer....YIPPEE!

  Last year, I came across these robots via the DonorsChoose site in February. I quickly showed them to my team and we started writing away to get different amounts and all of the different ones.

  I hope you enjoy these photos. We used this set during an after school club to build collaborative structures and have students build just like engineers. The students just loved every moment!”
