It is such a tremendous help and I know my students will be excited to start using them immediately. From working on research projects, drafting their writing, using interactive reading sites and engaging in literacy games, I know my students greatly appreciate this gift. When it comes to technology, kids are starting to use it at a younger age. Most of my students do not have access to computers at home. For them to have the opportunity to use them in the classroom is not only important but also very exciting for them. If my students were to have access to laptops in the classroom, they could use them to conduct research, publish reports/ personal stories, visit interactive websites, read books online and a host of other activities. Laptops would not only be a valuable tool in connecting to students of all learning styles, but also in developing their computer skills and enhancing student learning as a whole.
