Indoor plants have many purposes and contribute to the psychological well-being and development of people. It has even been proven that plants in the classroom reduce student anxiety and stress and sickness. It is also amazing that studies have shown that there is increased productivity! All of these benefits are most important this upcoming school year. I want to make my classroom environment welcoming, healing, and beautiful. With COVID-19, we must put students in rows and have no extras in our room as far as furniture. Normally, I have a conversation spot with a small couch, bookshelves, and armoire with beverages and snacks. However, this year, I am unable to create the learning environment I normally do for my kids; therefore, I would like to make it as beautiful and inclusive as I can with indoor plants along the windowsills, bookshelves, and hanging from the ceiling. They will add livelihood and comfort with my bulletin boards and artwork. Please help me create this for my students through your thoughtful donations! Thank you in advance.
