  • Art Supplies

    Funded Aug 20, 2019

My students and I will be using the new resources during our art activities. My students will surely enjoy each time they're using our classroom set of color pencils! Thank you for the heavy duty sharpener as well! My students love to help out and they are looking forward to take their turns to sharpen those color pencils.

The minute we got the box, they asked me what's inside the box and if they can open it now. Of course, I let them open the box to satisfy their curiosity. They were so amazed by looking at those pencils! One student said, "Wow! There's so many of each color!" They wanted to do art projects right away. Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ly

  • Classroom Supplies I

    Funded Aug 20, 2019

Thank you very much for donating the necessary supplies for our students to use in the classroom. With the supplies given, we will be able to laminate large sizes of money images for students to see and use in our math unit.

The moment we received the packages, their reaction was stunning! The students were curious about what was in the brown carboard boxes. They were very happy to immediately open up the boxes and take out the supplies. They even held up the supplies to show their classmates!

Thank you for supporting my students

    and I!”

  • Learning Science

    Funded May 7, 2019

My students and I are using these new resources in our classroom during our science activities. We are using them during exploration time and they are especially very beneficial during the rainy days. When it's raining and they could not play outdoor, these resources come in handy very much. They enjoy playing and taking turns with each other, too.

The moment we received the products, their reactions were stunning! They were so happy to open the cardboard boxes and took out the puzzle boxes. They were trying to assemble and line up the boxes to make large puzzle itself from the puzzle boxes! They were just so cute, funny and creative while having fun, getting engaged already!

    Thank you again!”

  • Hands-on Learning

    Funded May 7, 2019

My students and I are using these new resources in our classroom. We are using them during our publishing stage of our projects. They loved trying out using the right and left hand scissors! They enjoyed doing their art works with the glue sticks and tracing them with those awesome pens! During their free exploration time, many students want to use those new resources. These new materials help my students be creative and invent new ideas. They were so happy to show me what they created!

  • Healthy Snacks for Healthy Minds

    Funded May 7, 2019

My students and I were using these new healthy snacks in our classroom as our culmination activity. The students did the 5 senses (see, touch, smell, hear and taste) with our snacks. Then they voted on which snack is the most favorite and which snack was voted the least favorite. They had a great time and enjoyed eating the snacks!

The moment we received the products, their reactions were jaws dropping! They were so thrilled to opened the packages immediately! They wanted to eat everything right away! I taught them the concept of delay gratification and needed to wait. They were so happy during our 5 senses activity! They were all very happy and all engaged in the activity and enjoyed eating the snacks!

My next steps will be using a few of these leftovers, extras as incentives as well to give to those are hungry or forgot to bring snacks to eat during recess.

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom!”

  • Protecting Our Mother Earth

    Funded Aug 21, 2017

Thank you so much for donating the supplies for my students to use in the classroom. It was the 3 ipads, a speaker, card stock papers, a pack of colored ink, and glue sticks for my students to use in the classroom. The ipad technology has been helping and boosting my students enthusiastic and the joy of learning. It's more interactive and hands-on for the students to fully grasp the new concepts of discovering new things.

While using the ipads, I've noticed that the students like to listen to songs relating to our Mother Earth lessons and are more engaged looking at videos about the different types of water. By using the ipads, the students are enjoying their learning more than ever because we've never worked with electronics in the classroom before.

Most of my students have come to love using the ipads in the classroom because a majority of my students don't have technology at home. They love that they can access technology daily in the classroom and are able to experience something new.

Thank you so much again for your support and for making a difference in my classroom and students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ly

My students are a group of magnificent first graders who are in a Mandarin Dual Language program. Every day they spend half the day in an English speaking classroom with me and the other half day with their Mandarin teacher. My first graders work very hard every day to learn all subjects in both English and Mandarin in order to be proficient in both languages, according to Common Core State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards. My school is a Title I school, but students, families, teachers, and staff all work together to facilitate a better future for our students.
