There is no denying that technology such as tablets and other forms of technology are hugely popular among students. The use of technology has helped to close the achievement gap in many of our schools. The use of technology like tablets also helps to make teaching and learning more meaningful and fun. If I receive the tablets, I hope to uncover more effective ways to use classroom technology that will move students beyond their current levels of mastery. I hope to achieve this by engaging my students in critical thinking activities that promote higher level thinking and problem solving skills through the use of online primary resources and other digital resources.
