  • Library Organization!

    Funded May 18, 2024

These baskets have been an amazing addition to my classroom library. They have helped to keep my classroom library neat and organized. My students were so excited to help me be able to label the basket for the books and also to put the books in the baskets. The students love the colors that were chosen.

When I had to move classrooms, these baskets were so easy to move and it helped keep the books from getting damaged or carried in heavy boxes. These baskets are an easy storage solution as well. The books that I have not put out yet are waiting in the baskets that are in my closet. It will be so much easier to bring a basket into my library that is already sorted with the correct books!”

    Mrs. Burkholder

  • End of the Year Carnival Fun!

    Funded May 14, 2024

These games and activities were such a big hit in my classroom. This was such a great idea to have for an End of the Year party. My students enjoyed playing the activities over and over again.

My students loved the basketball head hoops. They loved trying to get the ball inside the basket using their heads. They loved bouncing the ping pong balls inside the fish bowls. They loved knocking the cans down with the bean bags. The list goes on and on. My students requested another day of games, which tells me that these games were the best way to end the school year. I cannot wait to try these games out again next year.”

  • Outdoor Recess Equipment

    Funded Apr 22, 2024

These items have made outdoor recess a lot more fun for my students. This would not have been possible without the help of each and everyone of the donors. Before, I had these items, my students would just run around and get bored after five minutes. Now the students would stay outside all afternoon long if I let them. They love getting chosen to carry the basket for all the equipment. They are learning how to play nicely with each other and to share the equipment.

When the boxes first should up, the students were so excited to see what was inside. When I opened the boxes, my students started screaming and jumping up and down. They now how outdoor equipment to use.

Again, thank you all so much for helping to support this project.”

  • Lamination Materials

    Funded Mar 5, 2024

These lamination sheets and copy paper have been so helpful for my classroom. First graders do many hands on centers. Many centers use activities that can be used over and over again. The lamination sheets have helped to protect these activities so that they can be used over and over again. The copy paper has been put to great use as well. I can easily print the center activities that I need printed and then laminate them. They can be used for several years to come! All of my students have loved using the center activities to help practice their new skills.”

  • Sweatshirts to Keep Warm!

    Funded Jan 16, 2024

My room has certainly become a lot warmer thanks to these sweatshirts. These sweatshirts are just right for my students that are taller. They wear them throughout the day and take them off before leaving at dismissal. They no longer have to struggle with wearing a smaller size sweatshirt. They know where to find them and where to put them back. They are so warm and comfortable that the student sometimes forget they are wearing them. Thank you all so much for helping to support my classroom and this project!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Burkholder

  • Water Bottles and Storage!

    Funded Dec 30, 2023

These water bottles and baskets have been such a blessing for my classroom. My students no longer constantly ask to go get water. The water bottles are filled with water at the beginning of the day and students can drink from them all day long. The baskets are the perfect size to hold all the water bottles on my back counter as well.

My first graders were so excited to be able choose the color that they wanted for their water bottle. They loved that they could decorate their water bottle how they wanted to. I am looking forward to the water bottles being using for the remainder of the school year.

Thank you to all the wonderful donors who helped make this project successful!”

    Funded Dec 13, 2023

Thank you all so much for helping to support this project and my school. The behavior of students at my school has gotten so much better since we implemented the rewards. The students look forward to getting to choose their reward. They were so excited to see the prize cart. When it was first revealed to them, most if not all the students got huge smiles on their faces.

Every month, the students at my school look forward to getting to choose their prize. They love to see the different prizes available and look forward to choosing a different prize each time.

  • Snacks for a Great Day!

    Funded Nov 10, 2023

Thank you so much for helping to get this project funded. My students come to school everyday and are always hungry by lunch time. These snacks help to give them energy between breakfast and lunch. They are always asking "when is snack time?" They look forward to getting to choose a snack from the snack basket on a daily basis.

When all of the boxes showed up for this project, my students eyes went wide open. After I opened the boxes and started taking all the snacks out, my students started screaming and jumping up and down.

My students are looking forward to the next project for their classroom!”

  • Comfortable Rug for Reading!

    Funded Nov 3, 2023

Thank you all so much for helping to support this project and my classroom. This rug is a great addition to my classroom! My students love to sit on it and read a great book. When I rolled the rug out , my first graders were so excited and commented that it was a great color. They were very excited to use it! It is big enough for a group of students to sit on and fits perfectly in the area I need it in. Again, this project would not have funded without the help of each and every one of you. So, from the bottom of my heart, I want to say a giant THANK YOU!”

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

These rewards are helping my students be successful in so many ways. All the rewards are in their own basket which is sitting on my counter for my students to see. My first graders look forward to see their progress on Mondays knowing that they are one step closer to getting their super special reward. When the boxes started showing up, my students were giddy with excitement. They were shouting with excitement as I opened the boxes and showed them what they could earn. It has made completing their Ready lessons so much more exciting! Thank you all so much for helping to support my classroom and this project!”

My students need headphones to be able to concentrate on their computer/technology assignments. One of their center rotations in my classroom is computers. They complete their iReady assignment/assessment or complete research for an upcoming project. The headphones help keep the distractions to a minimum in the classroom. This way, the students on computer can concentrate, as well as the other students who are working with the teacher or at another center. As a school, we also take our yearly assessments on the computer. With these headphones my students will be able to concentrate and focus to get the best possible score they can!
