Tech Support Needed! Help Our Class Become 21st Century Learners!

Thank you so much for your generous donation. It means so much to my students, my co-teacher and myself especially. Many of my students come from low income families and they do not get the same access to technology that most middle school students do. Thanks to your generosity and kindness, I am able to give my students with an opportunity to use the endless amount of resources that technology provides to enhance their learning and develop the skills that 21st century learners need to succeed in today's world. For example, our current reading unit is our Research unit. Students have to research the career they want to be successful in their future. We are doing the entire writing process on the Chromebooks. We started planning, drafting, revising, editing, writing and publishing the essay all on the Chrome books and Google Classroom. This is a great tool because the students are able to share and edit one another's work and they can learn from one another as well. Students get to use technology to research different careers and start thinking about their future. It's great!

When I told my students that someone graciously donated some Chrome books to use in our classroom, they were in disbelief. I showed them the email stating the donation and they were so excited! They were shocked that someone anonymously donated something so crucial to their learning without taking credit for it. Not only are they so grateful for this gesture, it was a great lesson for the students as well. It shows how far someone's kindness can truly go. I want to thank you so much again for donating to my students and helping make my classroom special, enjoyable and memorable for the students for years to come.”
