My students are very loving and smart. They have difficulties with every day life skills, social skills, sensory integration, and academics. Currently, they are all on a functional curriculum with functional math and English, daily living skills, and work place skills. The school is a relatively low socioeconomic school and the students are very diverse. The students do not go out of the classroom much due to sensory and behavior issues. I would love to be able to incorporate art and music into our weekly lessons to give them hands on activities to improve visual, fine motor, gross motor, and functional skills.
