• Small Group Instruction for My 3rd Graders!

  Thank you so much for your generous donations to my project. My students love the small group table, and the teacher is able to work with students more closely every day. The table allows our English language learners to work with their teacher as well in a small setting to help them learn English daily.

  Most of all thank you for supporting public education and students from low socioeconomic areas such as those from my school. These students will benefit from all your generous donations as well as the future students in my 3rd grade classroom.”

• Library on the Go for My 3rd Graders!

  Thank you so much for your generous donations. I ended up returning the computers and purchased recorders for my students to learn how to play. They played in the Christmas show and it was wonderful and they all learned how to read music and follow the notes and the rhythm.

  Many of my students that struggle with reading actually did so well reading music. Children have so many different intelligences that allow them to develop interest in other areas. Thank you for your generous donations!

• Art Therapy For My Students!

  Thank you so much for the donations to my classroom project. The art sketchpads have been fabulous. My students enjoy drawing so much and has been great therapy for them. They are developing their skills in design and composition, and even illustrated a fantasy story.

  They have enjoyed all the materials so much, and have used them for the past few months.

  I am looking forward to teaching my students about Picasso, and many contemporary artists as well. Art has proven to be an incredible outlet for my students with self esteem issues.”

• Best School Year Ever!!

  Thank you so much for your generous donations to make my project possible. All the amazing folders and materials have helped my students get organized for the new year!!

  They are able to sort their papers that they are working on to put them into the right folder for future lessons.

  My students were so excited when the boxes arrived and you can see they are enjoying them in my photos.

  The writing process folders have been so helpful while teaching my students to use the writing process. The reading trackers are wonderful for my students who have learning difficulties as they help them to keep their place in a long reading passage.

  And...Ticonderoga pencils are the best!!!

• Start the New Year Right With Materials for Diverse Learners!

  Thank you so much for the wonderful writing journals , folders , and multicultural crayons . My students have enjoyed using these materials during our writing time. Even my new student from Russia has been able to write in his journal about life in Russia. The folders have been great to help my students stay organized throughout their day . • Art and Phonics for My 3rd Graders!

  Thank you so much for the amazing sketch books and phonics books for my students. We went on a virtual field trip to the LA County Museum of Art and we used the sketch books as we learned about African American artists such as Kehinde Wiley and Amy Sherald. We analyzed the Obama portraits and learned about the use of color in art.

  The phonics books were fantastic as well as we learned about sounds and spelling patterns. We were able to cut and paste the words to manipulate the phonetic sounds in words we are learning to use in our writing and reading as well.”

• We are Creative Writers and Illustrators!!

  Thank you so much for the amazing materials you supplied for my creative writers!!

  Each of my students wrote and illustrated their very own stories along with illustrations and pictures.

  First, they created their books in Book Creator, an app that I taught them to use to make a mock of their story.

  Then, they used the blank books to create a book at home over the summer.

  I look forward to seeing their creations as they promised to bring me their book to show me in the fall.

  The construction paper allowed us to draw, paint, and make collages as we learned about different contemporary artists.

• Back to School We Go!

  When they saw all the colorful folders they were thrilled!

  Distance learning had many challenges and staying organized at home was one of my goals for my students!

  I taught them how to create a workspace at home that included a daily schedule and folders for each subject.

  The colors allowed them to stay focused and file their work to save for the next lesson.

• Distance Learning Can Be Fun for All!

  Thank you for all the wonderful materials that you have donated to my classroom. My students have enjoyed all of my art lessons that I have been teaching them. Art is a wonderful way to express themselves during these difficult times. Whether they are drawing or coloring or visualizing or imagining art allows the children an escape. Many of the children that have not been able to excel in reading and math have shown excellence in art and have demonstrated an ability to continue to use their imagination for their minds to grow.”

However, since we are not in the classroom this year and learning virtually , my students are able to use the materials at home when they are working in zoom.
