Our student population is challenged by generational and situational poverty. This results in absentee and/or uninvolved parents, little ability to focus and follow through, negative social behaviors, and an acute lack of personal responsibility. Ours is a PK-5 neighborhood school with 70.09% of its total student population on the free and reduced meal program. Students are a mix of socio-economic backgrounds, gender, races, and academic abilities.

About my class
