What's Popping? Sensory Toys for All.
Funded Dec 2, 2024Imagine feeling overwhelmed when you go to a place that is super loud. For my students this can happen anywhere. Sensory overload can ruin the lesson or their entire day. Having tools to combat this would go a long way. When we found out our project was funded, we were super excited. We could hardly wait for our stuff to arrive! When we came to school, we could not contain our smiles as all the boxes piled in!
We are going to use these new materials to help us deal with the classroom environment and things that might make us uncomfortable and overwhelmed. Having a an ability to help design and creat fidget.sensory tools will help calm us and get us ready to attack the day head on!
Overall, this is absolutely amazing! I am truly humbled by the fantastic response to my project. Your incredible donations will help my students achieve to the best of their abilities. My students and I will use our new materials and do our best to pay it forward when the situation arrives.
Thank you so much for everything! You will never know how much this means to us.”

Funded Aug 23, 2024As always, when we found out our project was funded right we were super excited. We could hardly wait for our stuff to arrive! The excitement levels rose as we waited for all of the boxes to arrive.
I am using this camera to help showcase all the amazing things our students do. It is nice to receive notes about how great our students are but this will open the classroom to the outside world and show off all the amazing things we have done!
Being able to record and send pictures at the click of the button really opens the experience our students have on a daily basis. Students ask if they can have their picture taken because they are so proud of all the hard work that they do.
These students are normally very shy but light up in the moment and I really hope that these pictures can show to their families what amazing things I see each and every day.
I am truly humbled by the fantastic response to my project. My students and I will use our new materials and do our best to pay it forward when the situation arrives.
Thank you so much for everything! This means the world to us. You have created more of an impact than you will ever know”

Funded Feb 22, 2024As always, when we found out our project was funded right we were super excited. We could hardly wait for our stuff to arrive! The excitement levels rose as we waited for all of the boxes to arrive.
I originally wanted to use these materials as an opportunity to encourage students to communicate, and boy was I blown away. Many in my group were initially nervous and hesitant to participate but once the microphones came out that went out the door.
Every week we manage to have an hour long chat and it's great to see these kids let themselves go and just be in the moment. I am so happy for this opportunity and the generosity of friends, family and strangers alike to help us achieve the goal we had set forward.
I am truly humbled by the fantastic response to my project. My students and I will use our new materials and do our best to pay it forward when the situation arrives.

Funded Mar 3, 2020From the bottom of my heart I thank you for your generous donations. The original idea for this project was to tach the students about following instructions and to use the drone to take pictures of our school's annual field day. Field day was a time for all of our sites to come together to do a wide range of activities and have a great day of fun. We were going to use the drone to take a school photo of our 7 sites and hundreds of students. Sadly, we were not able to have field day due to the Coronavirus but my students are looking forward to the day when we can return to the fields. Thank you for sharing the love and continuing to help provide for students of various needs. You have definitely shined a light in a time where it is needed”

Lets Motivate: Comic Books are for Everyone!
Funded Mar 3, 2020Many different things inspire my students. I try to find different creative ways to help keep them motivated to participate each and every day. My students are super, just like the characters in these books. They face many challenges like their favorite heroes and come out shining every time. I try to encourage my students to do the right thing and motivate them to achieve to the best of their abilities.
Many of my students are motivated by positive feedback and incentives. My school uses Positive Behavior Interventions and one such way of promoting good behavior is that of clubs. Many of the students really like comic books. These books have truly captured the students' imaginations so that they can both create and become heroes of their own. When we received the books, the students were very excited! They asked many times when they could get more to read!
This proved to be a valuable tool when working with my students. Every week, they looked forward to meeting up to sit, relax and discuss with their friends all about the adventures that they have read. It inspired me as teacher because I was able to share one of the things that I enjoy greatly with each kid in school.
By donating to the project, you have helped to motivate my students to become the heroes they see in these colorful books. Each week, they will have an opportunity to let their imaginations run wild and work towards attaining their goals! You have ensured that they will continue to learn in new ways, and that they gain independence in the classroom.
To everyone that donated you are my heroes!”
