Investigating with iPads!
Funded Feb 12, 2015Thank you both so very much for the iPads we received! They arrived and the students were so thrilled! They were so excited for their turn to use the iPads.
Since they arrived later in the school year, the students took turns exploring the many apps we downloaded! They particularly enjoyed playing Splash Math! This helped to enhance their math skills, which were aligned directly to the common core!
This year, I am excited to once again incorporate the iPads in my classroom. I will be using them to help enhance the students reading, writing, language arts, math, science and social studies skills! As the ESOL friendly kindergarten classroom, I will be able to help build my students vocabulary skills through the use of the iPads as well.
Once again, thank you for supporting my donorschoose project! I cannot wait to introduce the iPads to my next group of kindergarten students!”

Kindergarten Author Studies
Funded Sep 5, 2013Thank you all so very much for your generous donations towards my classroom! The students have enjoyed looking through the books, reading them with their partners and discussing what they were interested in and excited to learn about each author. We will be kicking off our first author study on February 3rd!
Currently, the books are in our classroom library and the students are allowed to read them during center times or when they finish their work early. Library is one of their favorite centers to choose, due to the wonderful books you have provided for our classroom!
This project has allowed me to expand my students' learning of wonderful children's authors. I look forward to reading and sharing these books with my students! Stay tuned for more pictures of my students enjoying these cherished books!”

Funded Jan 1, 2013Thank you all so very much for your contribution towards our books. The books have been a valuable resource in our classroom! Through your support, I was able to purchase two copies of each story. I have been able to utilize the stories for partner reading, guided reading, and assessment purposes. The students really enjoy reading to their partner, and following along as their partner reads! The books purchased have added to our classroom library and helped to enhance our reading skills. Once again, thank you so much for your donation. The impact it has had on these young readers will last a lifetime!”

Getting Cozy in Kindergarten!
Funded Oct 3, 2012Thank you all for supporting my classroom, students and my school. My kindergarten students love using the furniture each day. We read, write, play math games, work with partners and engage in many more activities with our comfy chairs and sofa! One of their favorite ways to use our chairs is to practice and play our sight word game each Friday!
With the budget in our school and across the nation decreasing every year, it is because of people like you that we are able to support, engage and provide for our students each day. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. These chairs and sofa will continue to help students for many years to come!”

Funded Sep 10, 2012Thank you both so very much for supporting my school and students. It makes me proud to be a teacher knowing there are so many people out there that support my mission to help see city students succeed.
The children have enjoyed using the beautiful carpet we received. Some of their favorite things to do on the carpet are reading, writing, and playing math games. The students love to find the different letters on the carpet and enjoy sitting on the fun pictures.
The carpet is a wonderful addition to our classroom. The bright colors make our room a fun and engaging place to learn. I look forward to using this carpet to help my students succeed for many years to come. Thank you so very much.”
