Color, Write, Create: Classroom Basics for Kindergarten
Funded Feb 28, 2025When my kindergarteners saw the colorful Crayola crayons, markers, and new pencils, their faces lit up with excitement. They couldn't wait to grab the supplies and start drawing, writing, and sharing their ideas. These classroom basics are helping us every day during writing time, art centers, and small group lessons. The tagboard paper has been perfect for letter formation practice and hands-on projects like making alphabet books. The electric pencil sharpener has been a teacher lifesaver, keeping everything ready to go without wasting time.
Thanks to your generosity, my students have the tools they need to stay engaged and feel proud of their work. We just began a unit where students are writing their own mini stories using drawings and simple sentences. With the new markers and crayons, they've been adding bright details to their work that bring their stories to life. Your donation didn't just give us supplies, it gave my students confidence and joy in their learning. We are so grateful for your support and excited to keep growing, creating, and learning every day!”
With gratitude,
Mr. J. Sanchez

Funded Sep 13, 2024Thank you so much for your incredible support of our project, "Help Provide Essential Classroom Items for a Healthy Kindergarten Space." Your generous donations have truly transformed our classroom! My students and I are using the new resources daily, and they've made a significant difference in creating a safe and comfortable environment where the kids can focus on learning. The Clorox wipes and Germ-X hand sanitizer are helping us maintain a clean space, while the baby wipes and Kleenex tissues keep everyone feeling comfortable and cared for. These supplies allow us to stay healthy and engaged, especially during hands-on activities that spark creativity and learning.
One of my favorite moments was when the students first saw the EXPO dry erase markers and glue sticks. Their eyes lit up as we used the markers to create interactive lessons on our whiteboards, and they were so eager to participate. Recently, we worked on a project where the students drew pictures representing their families and labeled them in both English and Spanish. It was such a joy to see how proud they were of their work, thanks to the new materials!
Next, we will dive into our unit on community helpers, where the students will use the glue sticks and markers to create posters highlighting different roles people play in our community. These materials will continue to be an essential part of their learning journey, helping them express themselves creatively while building language skills in both English and Spanish. We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and excited for all the learning that lies ahead!”
With gratitude,
Mr. J. Sanchez
